Boomstrut 44041 is designed for boats 10.5m – 12m (30ft – 40ft) in length with a maximum boom tip weight of 23kg (51 lbs). Working alongside the existing kicker or rope vang it creates upward lift on the boom to keep the desired sail shape even in light winds. Manufactured with white rods and Spectro Anodised boom and mast fittings. The uplift created means that the boom will not fall onto the boat when either the sail is lowered, or the topping lift is released or removed. The boomstrut’s lightweight, low-profile design features two flexible coated fibreglass rods which provide the force to support the boom. Pulling the boom down with a conventional kicker causes the Boomstrut to flex; releasing straightens the rods, thereby lifting and supporting the boom.

Mast fitting can use existing luff groove
