F.R.A. ® tabal A leather bit is designed of special selected leather. Well maintained, it will form it selves to the anatomy of the mouth of your horse and provide a soft and respectful touch on the bars. The chin belt attached to the bit will fix the bit underneath the chin in the correct place on the bars of the horse's mouth. Before first use, you must soak the bit a quarter of an hour in sunflower oil. After impregnation of the oil you place the bit on the rear bars and fix the chin belt with one finger of space between the chin and the chin belt. After a quarter of an hour, check again and fix or tighten the chin belt. This is necessary because the leather should be chewed by the horse to become softer and take the shape of the mouth. By placing the bit that way it will not be damaged by the teeth, because its position is on the bars almost against the first premolar. Riding the bit as an Indian bridle means using the well fixed leather bit with only a pair of reins. In this situation we strongly advise that the bit is well chewed by the horse beforehand. It is advised to put the bit regularly in sunflower oil for a good maintenance. The bit should always be used on the same horse. Never use balm, grease or oil for leather! Rinse the bit after each use with water and a soft brush. When properly used, the leather bit is very helpful during the learning process of the young horse as well as for the young rider thanks to its softness. For the more experienced riders they give new sensations, especially when used as an Indian bridle. The natural colour of the leather becomes darker during use and maintenance. Especially for horses with respiratory problems: The leather bit lends itself by excellence to administrate emulsions against cough. Dip the bit for 60 minutes or more in the prescribed emulsion. During the ride and while chewing on the bit, the emulsion will be more effective than administering the emulsion in one single take.

Challenge your thinking on this subject
Format: Paperback
I found this book generally helpful. It was beneficial to me to think through how someone might arrive at a conclusion different from my own. That challenged me to think through the biblical support for my own view of sanctification.
The introduction sets the stage well. All agree in certain aspects of sanctification, but disagree on others such as: how does one achieve success in sanctification? How much success is possible? Is a crisis experience following one's conversion normal - or necessary? If so, what kind of experience and how is it verified. Several definitions of terms become important in the book: sin, old/new man, perfection, Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and Entire sanctification.
In terms how well the authors lay out a biblical case for their positions, I found myself convinced more by the Reformed and Dispensational perspectives. From best to worst, I might order it as follows:
1. Reformed
2. Dispensational
3. Pentecostal
4. Keswick
5. Wesleyan
Overall, I found it refreshing that all of the authors maintained a respectful and gracious tone in their disagreement with one another. I would recommend this book as a helpful overview of this topic.

Great comparison!
Format: Paperback
These five views are given in the words of their own proponents. Each view is then critiqued by the other four authors. These authors seem to be leaders in the denominations representing each position. This book is for the theological heavy-weight reader. It is desirable to the seminarian who knows the terminology and nuances of the theological standpoints. It does have devotional value in turning the reader to God.

More than a library filler
Format: Hardcover
Wayne Grudem’s Christian Ethics is a thorough guide for thinking through real life moral questions from a clear biblical perspective. I originally bought this book because I thought it would look good for a display of books. I was pleasantly surprised as I began to read it. The book is detailed and the chapters are laid out in a way that makes it easy to dip into specific topics as needed, which is helpful for pastors, teachers, and laypeople alike. I especially appreciate how Grudem consistently grounds his arguments in Scripture and explains how he reaches his conclusions. His writing is clear, practical, and often pastoral in tone, rather than academic. If you are looking for a comprehensive, conservative evangelical resource on Christian ethics that takes the authority of the Bible seriously and applies it to a wide range of modern issues, this book is a valuable addition to your library...not just a decoration piece.
