This antique pine dresser and plate rack showcases the simple utility and enduring beauty of early countryside furniture. Crafted from solid pine and finished in a later deep, richly aged stain, the piece has developed a warm, moody character that highlights the grain and natural wear collected over generations of use.
The removable upper plate rack features three open shelves with tall backboards, originally designed for displaying everyday pottery, ironstone, and kitchen wares. The lower base offers generous storage with three drawers over paneled cupboard doors, opening to interior shelving with a beautifully darkened patina throughout. Its large scale and clean architectural lines make it an especially versatile statement piece for kitchens, dining rooms, or open living spaces.
The top section is removable from the base and secures with screws, allowing for easier transport and installation.
