This large Bowie was forged from 1095 steel. It is flat ground with a very nice distal taper and blade profile and features some decorative filing eye candy on the spine. The flat oblong shaped guard and pommel cap are constructed with nickel silver and the Damascus spacer adds a nice subtle touch of interest. The handle is constructed from a lightly colored smooth piece of Sambar Stag that really feels good in the hand and the butt cap has been shaped to match the contours of the stag handle with a 6 pointed centered finial boss. Hidden tang. 9 3/4 inch blade, 14 3/4 inches overall. 1095 steel. Forged.

This knife comes with a brown custom stamped leather belt sheath made by the maker.

About the Maker: Ronnie Foster is a Master Smith through the American Bladesmith Society, which he earned in 2003. He has been bladesmithing since 1995 and hails from Morrilton, Arkansas. He often builds higher end art or collector knives but also makes hard working pieces that the buyer will enjoy putting to use too. He enjoys making simple, easy to use liner lock folders too.
