Dual entry · Litter-trapping footboard · Slide-out drawer · Cotton odour filter · Scoop included · Snaps flat

Two ways in, one less mess on the floor. PawBox grows with your cat — front-only entry for kittens, front-in/top-exit for adults. The litter-trapping footboard catches scatter before it reaches your floor.

The PawBox™ enclosed cat litter box is built around a dual-entry system. Kittens (3–12 months) use the front door as their only route in and out — the low step-over height makes it easy for cats learning to use a box. Adult cats (12 months+) enter through the front door and exit through the top opening. The longer route through the box shakes litter from their paws before they step out — less scatter, cleaner floor.

At the front exit sits the hollow footboard. Narrow 0.57 cm slots let litter fall through into a hidden tray below as your cat steps out — catching scatter at the source rather than letting it spread. Lift the footboard to empty. Pull out the full-width slide-out base drawer for a mess-free clean without lifting or tipping the box.

Two entry modes — one box

Mode How it works Best for
Method 1 — Front in, front out Front door is the only entrance and exit. Top cover fitted. Kittens 3–12 months. Lower step-over, fully enclosed feel.
Method 2 — Front in, top exit Cat enters through front door, exits through top opening. Cats 12 months+. Longer route = more litter shaken from paws.

Switch modes by removing or replacing the top cover — no tools needed.

Worth knowing before you order

Front door opening: 27.3 × 20.1 cm. Top opening: 19.8 × 19.2 cm. These dimensions suit most cats. If your cat is larger or broad-chested, check the measurements against your cat’s build before ordering.

The footboard is removable. If you prefer not to use it, simply leave it out. PawBox works without it.

Some cats take time to accept an enclosed design. Leave the front door off for the first few days if your cat is hesitant. Reintroduce it once they’re comfortable going in.

Everything included

Cotton odour-control filter — hangs inside the box to absorb odour between cleans. Standard cotton panel size; replace as needed.

Scoop — hangs on either the left or right side of the box. Included, no extra cost.

Cleaning tool — for wiping out the interior and the slide-out drawer.

Instruction manual — step-by-step assembly guide included in the box.

Questions

Can I use just the front entry and not train my cat to use the top?

Yes. Method 1 — front in, front out — works with the top cover fitted. Your cat won’t use the top opening unless you remove the top and train them to exit that way. Useful for kittens or cats that prefer a more enclosed, den-like feel.

Will this fit a large cat?

The front door opening is 27.3 × 20.1 cm and the top opening is 19.8 × 19.2 cm. These dimensions suit most domestic cats comfortably. If your cat is particularly large or broad-chested, measure before ordering — we’d rather you check now than return it later.

Is the footboard removable?

Yes — the footboard sits in position and lifts out for emptying. You can use PawBox without the footboard if you prefer. It is not fixed in place.

How do I clean it?

Pull out the slide-out drawer and empty. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth — the PP plastic surface is smooth and easy to clean. Do not submerge the assembled box in water. The drawer, footboard, and scoop can all be removed and wiped or rinsed separately.

What size replacement filter do I need?

The included filter is a standard cotton odour panel. Check the exact dimensions of the supplied filter before reordering — any compatible cotton panel of the same size will work. Replacement filter dimensions will be added to this listing once confirmed.

Does it come with litter?

No. PawBox includes the litter box, slide-out drawer, footboard, cleaning tool, cotton odour filter, scoop, and instruction manual. Cat litter is not included.

My cat won’t go near an enclosed box. Any tips?

Introduce the box with the front door panel removed for the first few days — this makes it feel like an open tray they already know. Once your cat is going in and out comfortably, fit the front door panel. Some cats adjust immediately; others need a week. If your cat is resistant after two weeks, an open-top design may suit them better.

Time will tell
My dog can chew through anything so I didn't have high hopes but she is obsessed with this thing and it's really held up so far. She hasn't had it long, but it's looking good. It's already outlasted her other chews so I count that as a win. My only concern is that it could be too hard, and she might crack a tooth. I only let her have it when I'm there to supervise and if she gets a little too aggressive with it, I take it away for a while. We got this because my mom's dog has had one that's lasted a few months and he is another super-chewer that goes through toys like they're nothing. So, if you're looking for something that seems to hold it's own against a toy-destroying power chewer, this one is worth the price. It does have a fairly strong bacon smell at first (that will cling to your hands if you handle it), but that fades pretty quickly once it's out of the box.

Still standing
My one dog is a super chewer but the other has more delicate jaws and tends to be susceptible to hurting herself on some of his more sturdy toys. I grabbed this on a whim because it looked a bit narrower (good for my girl) but still sturdy (good for my boy and my furniture). First of it was definitely what I was hoping for in size. While sturdy it is still thin enough that my girl doesn't hurt herself when she inevitably runs away with it when the other dog isn't looking. However, it did take both dogs a good deal of coaxing to take an interest. Eventually I ended up hitting the toy with some gravy from their food before they really wanted anything to do with it. Whatever the scent of the toy is it clearly wasnt enough motivation for either of them. (Hence the four stars) but the gravy worked as an attractant for my dogs at least. And now for durability. It's extremely sturdy. Despite the rocky start it is now one of my boys go too toys when he gets to pick something to play with. My girl likes it but it is certainly more his toy then hers. Which is good because his jaws are insanely destructive and so far this toy is holding up far better then the other two I purchased at the same time, and as it's one of his favorites it's not from lack of use! Over all this toy is great if you have a super chewed and/or a dog with thinner jaws who need a good quiet time toy. If your dog isn't as instantly curious as you'd like I recommend some sort of attractant.

Greatly enjoyed the toy
Rambo really love it. Great chew toy for dogs that love to chew/tear up most toys of their 🧸 toys.

A challenging chew.
We have 3 Gordon Setters, 2 of which like toys to chew on. These last a long time. The only thing I would caution ⚠️ you about is that over time, these develop sharp edges. If they rub the toy on you, you will know it. Especially if you are wearing shorts. I do like these toys for their longevity.
