The body of the pen was taken from the oak used for the casks where the prestigious wine rested for so long. 
The rounded shape of the pen for this very limited edition, unique of its kind, is also inspired by the shape of a cask. 
The red enamel in the knob recalls the intense red of the wine of Chateau Lafite Rothschild. 
This unique model of pen  is very pleaseant to touch and offers silver finishes with with an elegant balanced contrast effect which shows the two materials to advantage.
The nib, made of 18k gold, is skillfully decorated with a diamond stylus engraving of the Domains Baron de Rothschild logo which puts the seal on this exceptional joint-venture.
