The Kneeland Co. x Temple Studio Rug Collaboration was born out of friendship and a mutual admiration for textiles and pattern. A year in the making, the collection includes five styles that were inspired by antique prints and jacquards from the Kneeland Co. Textile Archive. Made in India and Nepal, each rug is made in a specific color palette that mimics its history and pattern. Based in NYC, Temple Studio is a conceptual textile, rug, and wall covering showroom representing select textile designers and artists as well as their own collections.
Hailing from 1920s France, this design was inspired by a striped jacquard that was begging to be turned into a rug. Made in Nepal, it’s a take on the chevron stripe and feels familiar yet new with eggplant and grey to balance out the bright white and black.
