Lucas Cranach the Elder: A Pioneer of Northern Renaissance

Lucas Cranach the Elder emerged as a leading figure in the Northern Renaissance, known for his innovative approach to painting. Born in 1472 in Kronach, Germany, he became a court painter for the Electors of Saxony. Cranach's work is characterized by vibrant colors, intricate details, and a deep understanding of human emotion. His Nativity painting exemplifies his mastery and reflects the spiritual fervor of the Reformation period, making him a pivotal artist in the evolution of religious art.

Influence of Reformation on Cranach's Artistic Themes

The Protestant Reformation significantly influenced Cranach's artistic themes. As a close friend of Martin Luther, he embraced the Reformation's ideals, which emphasized personal faith and direct access to God. This shift is evident in his Nativity painting, where he focuses on the intimate relationship between Mary, Joseph, and the Christ Child. Cranach's work often includes subtle critiques of Catholic traditions, showcasing his commitment to the new Protestant values.

Buttons
Size: King, Color: Dark Grey
Here's what I like: Appearance. I like the color and how it looks on my bed. It looks appropriate for a king sized bed. Removable cover. It was easy to take the cover off and wash, which I appreciate because I like my bedding to smell fresh and clean. What I don't like: It is a bit softer than I would like. But I can live with it. I thought it was a foam pillow inside, not fill. Maybe my fault though for not reading description or reviews. Quality. This is the biggest issue driving the rating. I removed the over upon opening the item so I could wash it. The buttons are attached the the inside cover. When removing the outside cover, you have to unbotton them. They are not secured well at all. From what I can tell the threading goes through the inside cover through the fill to the button on the opposite side. I suspect this because 4 buttons came off when I removed the outside cover. They are very loosely secured to each other. Be gentle when removing and replacing the cover. Now I will have to thread the buttons again and secure it. Just a pain for a brand new item. Should I expect that for the cost of the item? I dunno. Could have been a higher rating, but, damn those buttons.

Nicer than the pictures!
I bought this for my wife for Christmas and it’s been a game changer for watching TV in bed. I was always having to double up on pillows and having to adjust them because they’re down and kinda deflate lol. The green color is super pretty too! Quality so far has been really good!

Pretty, but very practical.
Size: Full, Color: Mint Green
The color was exactly what I expected from the photo. It arrived in an unbelievably small package, but expanded quickly once I opened the bag. I waited the recommended 24 hours to be sure it was done. I am pleased that the length is a perfect fit, and I like that it comes up to the back of my neck when I'm sitting in bed. It is a bit softer than I originally imagined, but not so soft that I feel like I'm sinking through it. It's very pleasantly supportive. The fabric is like a soft ribbed corduroy with piping along the outer seam. It looks nice. Both ends have a pocket that is barely noticeable, but is the perfect size to keep your phone close by. I'm temporarily homebound and spending a lot of time sitting in bed, so I'm very glad I invested in this pillow for comfort and convenience. If you ever have trouble with pillows working their way under the edge of the headboard, and into the dusty space between the headboard and the wall, consider this problem solved.

Measure your bed and space, I did and ordered the perfect fit!
Size: Queen, Color: Navy
Love this wedge pillow. I bought it for our boat stateroom bed. It fits perfectly as beds on a boat are always odd sizes. It is very comfortable allows me to sit up in bed to read. Also keeps our bed pillows from sliding back. Good quality, color and size.

Comfy, Supportive, and Great for Lounging in Bed
This wedge-style headboard pillow has made sitting up in bed much more comfortable. The shape offers full upper-back support, with just the right amount of firmness to keep you propped upright without feeling stiff. It’s especially helpful for reading or watching shows in bed, and it stays in place well against a flat headboard. The purple color is rich and vibrant in person, and the removable cover is soft to the touch with a smooth finish. We really appreciated that the cover zips off easily and can be machine washed—it held its shape and color after laundering. The pillow also has a nice weight to it, so it doesn’t feel flimsy or slide down easily. This is a great addition for anyone who likes spending time sitting up in bed, whether for reading, working, or relaxing. It also doubles nicely as a decorative accent when the bed is made. The quality feels solid, and the size works well across the width of a queen bed without overwhelming the space. Id say it is ok for the price. It does retain warmth though
