In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole. It was a Hobbit Hole, and that means comfort.

J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, brought to the big screen in an epic trilogy. Wētā Workshop was thrilled to return to Middle-earth once again, contributing design, specialty props and specialty costumes to all three films.

Every Hobbit Hole is unique, expressing the personality of its inhabitants with colour, prettily adorned gardens, furniture, and the rustic debris of everyday life.

An unpainted front door sets this home apart from the rest, but it is no less cosy. Capitalizing on the natural earthen tone of the front door, a warm autumnal hue peppers the surrounding trees and ivy, creating a subtle yet inviting abode.

This gorgeous little environment is an exacting miniature replica of the movie set that can be visited at Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand. It was designed by the same artists and craftspeople who worked on the movie.

Bright round doors in summery hues dot the lush, grassy hillsides of Hobbiton like wildflowers. Behind each doorway, comfortably appointed burrows wind into earth: each one home to a Hobbit, or a family of the Shire’s rosy-cheeked little-folk.

Features:
Easy to display – just 6” wide
An exact replica of the real Hobbit Hole at the Hobbiton movie set

“Because of the relationship we have with all the production parts of the process, we access to everything from concept drawings to set plans, which is really handy when making things like Hobbit Holes.” - Leonard Ellis – Sculptor & Model Maker, Wētā Workshop

YOU can actually LEARN to do this!
Format: Paperback
"Eavesdropping on Animals” by George Bumann really was a welcome break for me as I spend so much time outside in Nature. George is also amazing at being able to read Nature in a way I had never seen before. His insight via really listening & paying attention to everything around him, is so precise - he can literally know where animals are without seeing them. I got this book mainly because HE wrote it & I knew it would be interesting. The thing that surprised me was he actually teaches you how to do what he does (ie: know exactly where a wolf pack is traveling by hearing a certain coyote call & knowing the terrain). I started simply by really paying attention to all of the bird songs going on outside my window very early each morning & could finally hear ones that were repetitively there & was able to figure out what they meant by getting outside & sitting on my patio as I drank my tea. If you LOVE NATURE, you would so get into this book. It’s a great teaching guide, plus his stories are so cool! Entertaining & informative to read.

Will forever change your experiences in nature!
Format: Hardcover
I am an instructor in animal language in the wildlife ecology department at two leading universities and I can attest that George is an expert animal whisperer/linguist. I've had the pleasure of knowing him and hearing his stories, and this book is an outstanding gateway into understanding the behavior of animals. It will reveal a whole new world to you every time you step outside, whether you live in an urban area or next to a wilderness.

An Incredible Resource
Format: Hardcover
The author has a wealth of knowledge about wildlife gained through his education, his work as a naturalist in Yellowstone National Park, his observations as a wildlife sculptor and the time he spends in Yellowstone for the sheer enjoyment of watching the animals. The concept of learning how animals communicate with each other is fascinating. Bumann shares his knowledge from his observations in an entertaining and fascinating way. Obviously, he has a love of the animals and a love of what he does. What a gifted author!
