Heavy, soft ball-shaped core covered in felt and fleece on a short ¾” hickory handle (11.5” length).   This mallet produces a full, luscious sound.  It is much softer than the small and medium sticks and brings out much  lower frequencies.  It is surprisingly resilient off the gong and results in a slow, rich blossom.

What do Dragonfly mallets sound like?

Did you know that most gong owners own a large collection of mallets. That is because each mallets brings out different tones in the gong.  A big soft mallet dampens the tiny sound waves so you hear the really low tones.
