PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The Color X Series are lap steels that have been given a little flare, a little zing, to make them stand out in a crowd. Changed up pickup rings and knobs are enough to make a statement!

The Electro Hawaiian Junior lap steel just keeps getting better.  This time around we made some small, but pretty choice updates to make your playing experience all the better.

Designed in California and prototyped by master luthier Bill Asher, the Junior has a neck-through solid mahogany body with a 25" scale length and 24 fret lines. This new version has a beautiful Indian rosewood fretboard, custom Alnico 5 pickup set and upgraded Wilkinson tuners.

Known for its solid construction and quality components, the use of lighter-weight African mahogany with its neck-through-body construction provides the optimal foundation for creating an impressive resonance and tonal range. Powered by custom wound Alnico 5 pickups, this lap steel produces a powerful tone and response with impressive depth and clarity. The wrap-around aluminum bridge with flat radius gives optimal body contact, and thus enhanced sustain.

The Junior’s slightly wider string spacing allows for effortless playability making it a great cross-over instrument for guitar, Dobro and Weissenborn players.  Designed with 24 frets, players have easy access to the 3rd octave allowing for expansive creative and tonal range.  The USA made low-friction nut by Graphtech, upgraded tuners and a reliable padded gig bag with heavy duty zippers are other details that make the Jr. anything but inferior.

Played by the professionals, this work-horse lap steel comes in 5 enticing colors (tobacco burst, trans cherry, antique white, lake placid blue and a limited-edition Gold Top).  Although it is moderately priced - the Jr. performs up to the standards of the Pros. Professional artists including Robert Randolph, Emily Robison (Dixie Chicks), Bruce Bouton (Garth Brooks), Mike Johnson (Reba MacEntire), and many other artists and gigging musicians use the Asher Electro Hawaiian Junior to add depth and musicality to their work.

The Jr. is suitable for any musical genre including blues, rock, folk, jazz, country, Hawaiian, etc. and also used for many applications including studio recording, live performance, large venue concerts, soundtracks, commercial work and most predominantly for pleasure at home.

Be sure to check out all the upgrades for the Electro Hawaiian® Junior only available from Asher Guitars, such as our HipShot palm bender, fully adjustable stand, electronic upgrade kit, custom Belly Bar and hardshell case!

***PLEASE ALLOW FOR 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS TO PERFORM UPGRADES - THEY ARE INSTALLED AFTER WE RECEIVE AN ORDER. IF YOU PAY FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING FOR AN ORDER WITH UPGRADES, IT WILL SHIP EXPEDITED AFTER THE UPGRADES ARE COMPLETED AND NOT IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE! The case and stand are exceptions to this however. They are ready to ship immediately if available!

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.

Go-Go and Buy this Book
This was the twelfth Simpsons Comics book I've read and, while it's not the best of the dozen, it is still a very funny book and a must for the Simpsons comics connoisseur (you got to love the cover art). Here's what you get: "Rhymes and Misdemeanors": Martin Prince is in love with Lisa and, when his love is unrequited, they both do battle in the form of poetry readings at a nightclub dissing each other. "The Great Springfield Frink-Out": A giant mishap occurs at the Frink labs (actually someone put tin foil in the microwave). This event causes everything to be topsy-turvy in Springfield, for example, Marge is the mayor, Homer is a mobster, Cecil is the celebrity clown, and Bart has ambitions to be as cool as Milhouse. "Tiger Teen": Fun mock mini mag in the style of those old 16 and Tiger Beat teen magazines of our youth. Of course, this one features Homer's barber shop group Be Sharps ("Homer Answers 40 Intimate Questions"-is that a perfect copy of those teen magazines or what?). There are also a few familiar names of 80s pop stars on the cover ("Cory Hart Takes off his Sunglasses-Exclusive photos!") "Burnsie on Board": Mr. Burns tries to live out his boyhood dream of being an Olympic skiing gold medalist by enlisting the help of Bart. "To Live and Diaper in Springfield": To pay for an expensive toilet paper dispenser Homer desires from an extravagant shopping network, Marge starts a daycare center. Her attention to other babies (particularly the one with the single eyebrow) causes Maggie to run away. "Fan-Tasty Island": Mr. Burns needs a rare toxin to get by the Coalition to Reduce Air Pollution. This toxin can only be found inside a wood carving on a remote island. The perfect cover-up is to send a family to find the treasure-the Simpsons, of course. Very funny comic, but the ending is a little far-fetched.
