I discovered the twigs that I used for this design in my local park when walking my dog. At first I thought theat it was a cherry tree but the buds just didn't look like cherry buds. Then I noticed that there are two trees that have grown together, one cherry, the other willow. I used to be a landscape architect so I am always fascinated by plants and can't go past some bushes in the park without checking them for good twigs!

I love the symbolism of willow as it's a plant that grows stronger, the more you cut it back. This would make a great gift for yourself, or a loved one, as a token of strength and encouragement in times of difficulty.
