SHAPE DSLR Kirk Neff Rig

The DSLR Kirk Neff Rig from SHAPE is a 15mm rod, shoulder-mount solution designed for DSLR or other compact cameras. Centered around the DSLR Kirk Neff Baseplate 2.0, the bundle features a pair of 18" long 15mm rods that supports the included Quick Handle Rod Bloc and Mini Composite Shoulder Pad with Back Pad. You can also expand your rig with the addition of optional accessories such as a matte box and follow focus. The shoulder pad and handgrips can be removed for mounting the rig onto a tripod.

Your camera attaches to the baseplate via a V-lock quick-release camera plate. The plate is also compatible with third party support systems that utilize the V-lock interface. The baseplate provides clamps to support one of the 15mm rod pairs, allowing you to the dual handgrips in front of the baseplate, as well as the rod offset bracket behind it.

The Quick Handle Rod Bloc provides dual handgrip support and features SHAPE's push button rosette release, which allows you to adjust the angle of the handgrips without having to remove your hands from the rig. At the rear of the rig is the Mini Composite Shoulder Pad which provides padded shoulder support for the rig. It mounts onto the pair of 15mm rods extending out the back of the rod offset bracket. A Back Pad is included which attaches to the shoulder pad for augmented camera support and comfort. A 1/4"-20 hole allows for additional accessories to be added.

• DSLR Kirk Neff Baseplate 2.0

  The DSLR Kirk Neff Baseplate 2.0 from SHAPE is a 15mm rod baseplate designed for DSLR cameras that utilizes a standard V-lock quick-release system. The quick-release plate provides a 1/4"-20 threaded camera screw and has rubber stoppers at the back to prevent your camera from twisting during operation. The rubber stoppers can be adjusted and removed using the included hex key. For alignment and balance adjustments, the V-lock delta adapter on the bottom of the quick-release plate can be also adjusted forward/backward, and the camera screw can be placed in a front or rear position - using appropriate hex keys.
  
  The baseplate itself features two 15mm rod ports with thumbscrews. It's design places the optical center of camera between the two rods and places the lens at a height suitable for use with a matte box. A pair of 8" aluminum rods come included.

• Quick Handle + Rod Block

  The Shape Quick Handle + Rod Block is a professional video stabilization accessory with 2 camera handles, each providing an individual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple push button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal.

  Combined with the anodized aluminum Rod Block, the Quick Handle offers composite camera support for all 15mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Block. With 2 screw-threaded holes, the Rod Block provides for attachment of components such as the Quick Handle.

• Mini Composite Shoulder Pad

  The SHAPE Mini Composite Shoulder Pad is a comfort-padded and comfort-shaped shoulder pad for the back of your camera rig. Outfitted with a 15mm-mount SHAPE Rod Block, the pad attaches right onto a pair of 15mm rods, slides into the best position on them, and tightens in place by a quality lever. It also has a black Screw Knob under which you can add a SHAPE Counter Weight or a SHAPE Back Pad, both optional and both back-supported accessories that work as extensions of the shoulder pad. The Screw Knob's screw is a 1/4"-20 screw. If you remove the Screw Knob, you'll have yourself a 1/4"-20 screw-hole to add various 1/4"-20-mount accessories into.

• Back Pad

  The Back Pad from SHAPE is a standard rig component included with most SHAPE camera rigs. Its design features a powder coated anodized aluminum plate and arm which are attached to a thick padding on the side facing the user. The pad is easy to both attach and remove from your rig, and it supports the SHAPE BOX attachment. Additionally, the pad's position can be adjusted to the user's preference � up to 2" vertically and 360° horizontally.

  These Shape's 15mm Rods are a pair of 18" long rods that fit studio and LWS 15mm rod clamps, allowing you to use available rod mounted accessories. This pair of rods are approximately 18" long and machined from hollow aluminum tubes. The rods feature chamfered ends that make it easier to insert into available 15mm rod clamps.
