This one-day, in-person workshop takes place at CBA on Monday, July 28th, from 6:00PM —8:00PM ET.

  • Monday, July 28th, 6:00pm—8:00pm ET

Please Note: Registration for this workshop closes on July 14th, at 11:59 PM ET.

About the Workshop:

In this workshop participants will create sound scores and visual poems in zine form, by mining the writing of others. Through processes of errant editing and close reading, we will locate undercurrents of sound in the spirit of Maggie Nelson’s “Writing With, From, and For Others” and Trinh T. Min-ha’s concept of “speaking nearby.”

The workshop will begin with a tour of the exhibition where Audra will introduce sound scores and visual poems through her own work and process.

Scores invite us to read and listen in new ways. Scores can be read quietly, imagined, or performed. Score comes from old Norse skor, to make an incision, from the root sker, to cut.

Materials will be provided, no previous knowledge needed. You are welcome to bring a book or writing to work with.

Required Materials:

All materials will be provided by Center for Book Arts at no additional cost.

The perfect sock!
Size: 6-10, Color: Halo Gray/Assorted
The only socks that I can wear with my hey dudes. They stay on my ankles and never slid down into the shoe. I will forever order these as long as they are available. They are comfy too!

Good option, especially in warmer weather
Size: 6-10, Color: Black
High quality socks and very durable. Nice touch adding the grip on the back of the ankle so the sock stays up. Size is a true fit to the size of your foot as well.

Love these socks!
Size: 6-10, Color: White
Comfortable, no show, and most importantly The Do No Slip!!!! I keep coming back to add to my supply because they have become the only sock I wear. I’ve been using them for a couple years now and they hold to great to washing, bleaching and the dryer. Highly recommended.

The only socks I will buy
Size: 6-10, Color: Halo Gray/Assorted
These are hands down my favorite socks to wear with tennis shoes. Bought my original 6 pack in the store, liked them so much I went buy more and they were gone. These don't slip on your heel like most socks do. Come up high enough on the top of your foot to protect from tongue rubbing (I giggled when I wrote that) and they come in fun colors. Love they are ultra no show and provide padding but people can't see them with shoes on. Five stars!

Socks
Size: Medium, Color: Black
Amazing socks. Fits Amazing. I tried to buy the six pack and it wasn’t the same. Thinner material. The 3 pack is great. Would buy again if it comes up.
