Six Questions Your Stretch Zone Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using our own research into the assisted-stretching market. Key assumptions, including the $59,500 franchise fee and the $7,500 monthly studio lease, are pre-populated and fully editable to match your specific territory. With Year 1 revenue starting at $533,000 and scaling to $998,000 by Year 5, this model helps you visualize the path from launch to a mature, high-volume studio.

When will the studio turn a profit?

Determining profitability for practitioner-assisted service businesses depends on membership conversion, and this unit shows positive EBITDA of $109,000 in its first year. After accounting for the 7% royalty and 2% marketing fees, the model projects net profit will continue to climb as revenue nearly doubles by Year 5. Efficiency in practitioner scheduling is the primary driver for bottom-line growth.

Boost Your Bottom Line

  • Convert free intro sessions to memberships
  • Upsell retail merchandise to increase ticket
  • Optimize practitioner hours to match traffic
[dynamic_pic9]

How much capital is needed to start?

To launch this wellness unit in the US, you need approximately $294,500 in initial capital expenditure. This includes the $59,500 franchise fee and $120,000 for leasehold improvements to get the studio up to brand standards. The model also accounts for $80,000 in specialized equipment and tables, plus a $20,000 marketing launch to drive initial traffic.

Primary Use of Funds

  • $120,000 Leasehold Improvements
  • $80,000 Stretching Tables and Equipment
  • $59,500 Initial Franchise Fee
[dynamic_pic10]

What is the expected investor return?

Based on our franchise investment feasibility study template, you can expect an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 4.41% and a Return on Equity (ROE) of 0.98. The payback period is estimated at 4 years, which is typical for a service-based model with significant upfront build-out costs. Steady growth in membership fees is the key to shortening this window.

Key Investment Metrics

  • 4.41% Internal Rate of Return
  • 4-Year Payback Period
  • $372,000 Year 5 EBITDA
[dynamic_pic11]

What is the monthly break-even point?

The model indicates a break-even date in January 2026, which is remarkably fast if you hit your Year 1 revenue target of $533,000. Break-even analysis shows that with $7,500 in monthly rent and a $55,000 manager salary, your primary lever is the volume of recurring monthly memberships. High fixed costs mean you defintely need to focus on local density and member retention from day one.

Speed Up Break-Even

  • Pre-sell memberships before the doors open
  • Manage part-time practitioner hours tightly
  • Negotiate a tiered rent commencement
[dynamic_pic12]

What is the cash runway and lowest point?

Using this franchise unit cash flow projection spreadsheet, the lowest cash point is identified in October 2026 at $1,006,000. This suggests a significant cash buffer is maintained, but you must still watch the timing of your $20,000 initial marketing spend. Estimating monthly recurring revenue for franchise models is critical to ensure your runway stays intact during the first 12 months of operation.

Protect Your Cash

  • Phase equipment purchases where possible
  • Monitor digital ad spend ROI weekly
  • Delay non-essential administrative hires
[dynamic_pic13]

How do different scenarios affect results?

This financial model for fitness and recovery franchises allows you to test how a 10% drop in membership affects your 4-year payback. In the high-growth scenario, reaching $998,000 in Year 5 revenue significantly improves the IRR by leveraging the fixed studio lease. Financial planning for health and wellness studio franchises requires looking at these swings to ensure the unit remains viable during seasonal dips.

Hit the High Case

  • Maximize table throughput during peak hours
  • Implement a strong member referral program
  • Maintain high practitioner certification standards

It's a beast and you can add attachments to, like a brush cutter head.
Style: 16" (2 x 4Ah)
This thing is a beast of a battery powered machine. I wouldn't put it completely up against my gas. It is much better than the Greenworks 24V 13-Inch Brushless String Trimmer (Gen 2), 4.0Ah USB Battery and Charger Included that I had purchased this time last year. I have several gas so I only really needed a light duty one to do the fence line and around the house. The main issue with the 13 inch was that the auto feed bump mechanism was worthless. It also uses very thin lines so very quickly you go from 13 inches to 6 to 8. and the bump feed does not work even with greenworks replacement spools. You get twice the batteries and a dual rapid charger for $50 more. You couldn't even buy the battery for that much. onto this thing. Love the dual string heavy-duty string mechanism. Love the fact that you can remove the trimmer head and add an attachment. I have attachments from my gas Trimmers and they work perfectly. My brush head attachment utterly devastated thick bramble from an overgrown lot. The best part is it took me two hours to get my stored gas trimmers to run properly which I don't have to do with a battery operated device. No gas flying that deteriorated or primer bubbles that have burst followed spark plugs Stale gas . Just throw the batteries on and you're off. Nothing long-term to report, only had it a week. Used it enough to run down completely six sets of batteries.

Works well, but battery life is lacking
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
This is a decent trimmer and gets the job done almost as well as a gas model. It has decent power (could use a little more) and is plenty light. However, the battery life stinks. One of the two batteries has already decided not to charge. It plugs in, but the charger does not blink or charge it. The terminals are clean. Of course, this happened just outside the return/support window, meaning I now have to buy a new battery just to use the trimmer. That's about half the price of the trimmer; if the other one dies, too, I may as well buy a brand new gas trimmer for the price and have the thing last for a decade or two like my last one, instead of a couple years like this one.

Overall very good product.
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
I bought this trimmer as I had previously bought a Greenworks 24V MAX Cordless drill that uses the same battery. The batteries to buy them alone are over 50 dollars each and as this has two its a great value in that respect. I was tired of electric trimmers with cords or noisy gas powered ones that are hard to start. This so far has worked excellent. I have not had a problem with the trimmer cord breaking and having to re-wind it back onto the spool like some other trimmers I have used. It is not noisy and it is effective and easy to use. The only thing I would disagree on is it is advertised as having an Ultra lightweight design. It is not heavy or cumbersome to use but I would not call it ultra lightweight. Overall very good product.

Extremely diappointing
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
I purchased a Greenworks Impact Wrench for my son. I was so so impressed with it that I purchased one for myself & decided to try their 2x24V 15" Cordless String Trimmer. Unfortunately just because a company makes one excellent tool doesn't mean that all their tools are good. The first problem I had with the trimmer was that it didn't come with the batteries or charger in the ad. It was supposed to have 4.0Ah batteries but came with 2.0Ah. In addition, more often than not, the manual didn't agree with actual parts & features. The trimmer requires two 24V batteries to operate. It can't be used with one battery even though it has a "low power" setting. On full power the trimmer had adequate power for most weeds but is no where near as powerful as a gas trimmer. The batteries only lasted about 20 minutes (this trimmer does not have a brushless motor). The 2 line feed head is not designed for easy reloading. In fact, it is the worst design I've ever owned. I've decided to return it & try one of their 2x24V brushless motor trimmers which should provide more power & has 4.0Ah batteries but costs significantly more.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH - edited
Style: 15" (2 x 2Ah)
I bought this product and it arrived with one battery that doesn't charge out of the two. Without 2 batteries, it won't work at all. Attempted to contact Greenworks with the number Amazon provided. They were closed on the weekends. Called Monday and the message stated that customer support closed early. Attempted using the Chat option for help. It states the model number STE304, doesn't exist, so I couldn't proceed. Called on Tuesday. I have been on hold for over an hour and still nothing. Will update. After about an hour and a half on hold (yes, the offer the option of leaving a call back number, which I didn't use as I had to work from home to access customer service when they were open. Also, they needed me to try out stuff with the batteries and give them serial numbers, etc.) The lady I spoke to spoke English and appeared to be US based. Eventually, after doing the "did you restart it" version of troubleshooting, it was indeed determined my battery didn't work and they offered to ship me a new one at no cost. I then had to dispose of my non-working battery in the proper manner, and our yearly toxic garbage pick up coincided with this, thankfully. It took time out of my work schedule to get this resolved, but the lady I spoke to was great and I did get my battery about a week or so later, which I did appreciate. Customer service needs better access esp since you have to have the physical batteries and charger to get this resolved, which you may not be able to do while working. Maybe they can't find people to work as that seems to be an issue everywhere. The weed eater works fine. Updated from one star to three based on resolving issues and a dead battery upon arrival, rather than the actual equipment working.
