Machine Gun Funk is a new Sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain from Ultra Genetics which is derived from Pure Haze, Skunk and G13 mother pollinated by Ultra Genetics own AK Confidential male (La Confidential x AK47). 

Machine Gun Funk takes it's name from a track on The Notorious BIG's 1994 album, Ready To Die.  The guys at Ultra Genetics chose the name due to this strain's funky flavours and gangsta influenced genetic lineage which includes G13 and AK47.

Ultra Genetics' breeders have masterfully harnessed the best qualities from all the parent strains to develop Machine Gun Funk.  When Ultra Genetics grew Machine Gun Funk out in a legal climate, they were more than happy with the results;  Overall, the plants grow to a manageable, uniform size and shape, which obviously comes from the AK Confidential bringing the Indica side of the genetics to the party.  Most Machine Gun Funk plants have a sweet lemon flavour, backed with skunky undertones and even influence from the Afghan genetics.  Some phenotypes develop an unusual herby flavour which brings to mind roast chicken and sage stuffing.  Classic, soaring haze effects are the order of the day.  Flowering takes around 11 weeks and Ultra Genetics' breeders observed decent yields from their legal test run of the marijuana strain.
