It is in a classic design called Tiga Negeri (three countries).
This handmade Javanese fabric will look beautiful as an elegant sarong, wrap or wall hanging. It is perfect for the boho and eclectic interior and for the avid vintage textile lover and collector.

This classic design is called Tiga Negeri, first created in 1910 by the Peranakan Chinese workshop of Nyonya (Mrs) Tjoa Giok Tjiam based on the Chinese Sam Kok stories of Three Kingdom.
It was characterised by the used of three primary colours, sogan brown, indigo and red.
The Tiga Negeri was also made famous by the fact that it was dyed in two or three different cities in Java, Lasem for its bright red, sogan brown in Solo and indigo in Pekalongan.
The Tjoas last produced Tiga Negeri in 2014, making it a much sought after piece.
This piece is in 'pagi sore' (morning evening) design, one half is with rabbit motif, the other in hen and rooster. Has been sewn to form a tube skirt.
