INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the Plan, Prepare & Install Window & Door Units course. This course only includes a challenge assessment designed to assess your knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competence in planning, preparing, sequencing, checking, fitting and installing window and door units in accordance with work instructions, drawings, specifications, workplace procedures, safety requirements, material requirements, relevant standards and manufacturer requirements.

Planning, preparing and installing window and door units involves interpreting job requirements, preparing the work area, selecting suitable tools, equipment, materials and personal protective equipment, identifying hazards, applying risk controls and completing accurate checking, positioning, fixing, flashing, fitting and adjustment work. In real workplace practice, this skill area is important because window and door units must be installed with correct clearance, alignment, fastening, weather protection, frame suitability, operational fit and finishing so they meet required performance, safety and quality expectations.

The course assessment focuses on your ability to plan, prepare and sequence window and door installation; apply NCC, Australian Standards, WHS, environmental, legislative, workplace, drawing and manufacturer requirements; select, check and use tools, equipment and PPE; inspect the site, locate services, control hazards and apply signage and barricades; select, calculate, handle, prepare and position materials safely; check window and door openings for clearance and suitability; position window units with packing and flashings; select and install window fasteners to Australian Window Association fixing requirements; mark, cut, trench, assemble, square, fix and brace door jambs and heads; install door frames with correct fasteners, flashings, plumb jambs, level heads and flush positioning; fit doors, adjust gaps to AS2688; install door furniture, privacy sets, stops, cavity sliding hardware, rollers and centring locators; and complete quality checks, clean-up, waste disposal, materials handling, tool maintenance and storage.

By successfully completing this course assessment, you will have demonstrated that you can plan, prepare and install window and door units by sequencing work, applying required standards and workplace requirements, managing tools, equipment, materials and safety controls, checking openings, accurately positioning, fixing, flashing, fitting and adjusting window and door components, installing required hardware, checking work quality and completing final clean-up, waste disposal, maintenance and storage activities in accordance with workplace expectations.

Really wanted this toy to be better...
Size: 10.5 inch Rubber Flex Tread
I got this toy because I have 3 large dogs that all like to pull things. I can't always play with them even though they follow me everywhere wanting to play, so I saw this toy and thought it would be good because it would give them something they can tug away at with each other. I saw the thick rubber and thought it would last awhile, but I was wrong. My German Shepherd and Pyrenees mix chewed though the first tire rather quick, and before I realized, I was finding chunks of tire around the house and yard. Thankfully, none of them tried to eat it. It seems like it could be a good toy for an aggressive chewer IF they are smaller and not as strong as these large dogs are, but it did not hold up long to mine.

The toy is best for "non aggressive " chewers. The seller is fantastic though!! They resolved an issue proactively, without being asked-something you don't see often. That level of integrity sets them apart, and I would absolutely buy from them again.

Do not waste your money

Not for aggressive dogs. I thought this was good for the money it’s not. My dog chewed this up in less than a minute. Not too happy

It's A Beast - But It'll Last Forever
Color: Large size (ø 7.4")
This big orange interactive dog toy does a few things differently—and mostly, it does them right. First, there are no batteries and no charging required. The internal noise maker is activated by movement, producing little squeaks and quacks that grab a dog’s attention without turning into an electronic science experiment. Second—and more importantly—this thing is built to last. It’s designed to work as both a ball and a tug toy, which means it’s far tougher than the typical interactive balls that get shredded in short order. I fully expect this one to stick around for a long time. That said, the reaction from my dogs was… mixed. All of them were a bit spooked at first. The sounds made them curious but cautious. My Border Collie was the first to commit and play with it, and she gave it a solid try. After a while, though, interest faded and the toy ended up sitting on the floor largely ignored. I can get them engaged if I roll it around and hype things up, but the two dogs that usually love tug-of-war haven’t latched onto this one yet. My guess is this toy will shine more outdoors. Once spring rolls around and it’s flying across the yard instead of the living room floor, I suspect it’ll get a lot more action. My dogs tend to burn energy—and enthusiasm—much faster outside. If you have a heavy chewer that destroys fragile interactive toys (and drains your wallet in the process), this is a very welcome alternative. Considering how quickly $35–$50 electronic balls can meet their end, this toy earns its place in the basket for durability alone.
