Shilajit, also known as mumio, is a substance created by long-term biological and geological processes in high mountainous regions through the decomposition in the rock layers of organic matter from plant remains, marine organisms, rock humus and minerals. This process is entirely natural and takes hundreds of years. The most valuable substances that shilajit contains are fulvic and humic acids. Their abundance, combined with the abundance of natural active substances and minerals, meant that in Indian folk tradition, mumio was considered a unique raw material.

Shilajit 500 mg by Osavi is sourced in a natural, traditional way and comes from the regions of Himachal Pradesh and Nepal. The raw material is standardised to contain min. 60% fulvic acids and 12% humic acids. The food supplement comes in the form of a convenient-to-take hard capsule.
