We travel to Japan, East Asia and other countries to source and handpick the most unique and rare hand made and vintage pieces.
The circle brushed onto the surface is Ensō (円相) a Zen Buddhist symbol, an imperfect circle, often painted with a single, expressive brushstroke in ink or glaze. The Ensō represents the beauty of imperfection, incompleteness, and the transient nature of life, aligning with the wabi-sabi aesthetic cherished in Japanese ceramics. Each brushstroke is unique, just as each handmade vessel carries its own natural variations.
