Tie-on Nappies Organic Cotton (5 pack)Disana's organic cotton (GOTS) knitted nappies are just brilliant. Basically they are a flat piece of shaped knitted fabric with ties, one size birth to potty. No pins or clips needed, simply fold in half, wrap and tie on. This is a comfortable and effective nappy for day and night use. In the day time we recommend the Brushed Cotton Liners or Organic Muslin Cloths and at night we recommend using two muslin liners together or the Super Terry Nappy

Disana's organic cotton (GOTS) knitted nappies are just brilliant. Basically they are a flat piece of shaped knitted fabric with ties, one size birth to potty. No pins or clips needed, simply fold in half, wrap and tie on. This is a comfortable and effective nappy for day and night use. In the day time we recommend the Brushed Cotton Liners or Organic Muslin Cloths and at night we recommend using two muslin liners together or the Super Terry Nappy Liners for heavy wetters. Add a Raw Silk liner for overnight use against baby's skin to reduce any redness or soreness that your baby might be experiencing. The Ruskovilla Wool Nappy Boosters can also be used to increase absorbency in the "wet zone" or as a feel dry night booster as wool wicks moisture away from the skin and doesn't feel wet.

How does the Tie-on Nappy work? The nappy's stretchy knitted fabric follows baby‘s every move, keeping the nappy flush with your child’s body even when she has a really good wiggle. It is easy to put on; it is also designed to fit perfectly from the first to the last day your child needs them. That makes Disana knitted nappies far less costly than expensive disposables and other sized washable nappies.

Available in a pack of 5

You will need a minimum of 20 nappies for full time use with the same number of liners and approximately 3 woollen covers of the right size. This is definitely one of the most economical, ecological washable nappy systems on the market working out at less than 10 dollars per nappy including liner and will last until potty training.

The knitted tie on nappy with a weight of 85g can absorb and contain up to 100ml of fluid. It can be machine washed up to 95°C although 60°C is all that is required for soiled nappies to kill bacteria.

Some parents have cut off the ties in favour of using "snappy pins" those easy grip "pins", although we find the ties very easy. It's just like wrapping up a lovely little bundle. Highly satisfying nappy system for people who love beautiful natural textiles and utilitarian simplicity!

Use with

Fibres: 100% unbleached organic cotton (GOTS/IVN Best)

Care Tips

  • Machine wash at 60 degrees
  • Never use fabric softener, use white vinegar instead to help remove detergent build up and naturally soften fibres
  • Gentle tumble dry or dry in sun to bleach and remove stains

"I'm loving my nappies, and so is my little boy!  I'm so glad I got them, and I love how quickly they dry too."

"Going great with disana, really like the stretchy factor, very comfortable on bubs, no rubbing or chaffing on her skin, I would recommend the nappies to anyone"

"I've had a chance to try out the Disana tie nappies (you sent me a trial pack to NZ) and I love them! Can't believe I haven't tried them before … they seem more absorbent and certainly seem more comfortable and better-fitting around my little ones relatively slim thighs than the nappies I've been using.  You've just pointed out what the big difference is - the fibres draw the moisture and spread it evenly rather than wetting straight through into the wet zone, which is the big problem I've been having. The cotton liner was full, but the outside of the nappy itself was still dry - amazing!"

foundational, dense
Format: Paperback
An extremely important book for anyone interested in the humanities or the sciences, particularly astronomy. It's a foundational work to help guide us towards understanding all of the past, present, and possibly future of humanity. The authors' style is a bit dense and may be more greatly appreciated by polyglots, but they get their points across extremely thoroughly.

Deepest Wisdom Within
Format: Paperback
Fantastic and engaging read. A must for serious comparison into myths. Esoteric wisdom found along paths of clear knowledge from the collective nature source of all epochal imagery (hidden history of the Ancients) unfolds within. Helpful in putting much confusion of modernity into context. Causes one to consider the scientific accomplishments of previous cultures rather than pondering thru occulted and poorly choreographed explanations about how such advanced civilizations achieved their grandeur; which were obviously far more advanced technologically than NASA is by light years! We are re-discovering what many peoples already understood long long ago. Recorded and referenced histories go back 100s of thsds of years and more. The book does not make judgements upon written records or of oral traditions but would implore readers come to a self realization by discovering information that causes one to expand their own minds and concur with known facts and of what remains from the past. High above the casual status quo official, sidetracked narratives that lead to reckless abandon and despair. Dialed in and deep! A real treasure trove. Highly recommended.

Packed with knowledge and mystery!
Format: Paperback
I gave this book 5 stars because this is an exhaustive compendium of mythological knowledge in one short (505 pages) volume. It is professorial in writing design, which includes excerpts in Latin, French and German, as well as the many words and phrases from India, Mesopotamia, northern Europe, Pacifiic islands and so forth. I recommend reading the appendices in the order they are referred to in the main text. I read them last and did not glean an understanding that accompanied the chapters. All in all, this is a researcher's book with 29 pages of bibliography material, with extensive notes at the bottom of the pages so one can stay on text. Good luck and enjoy the perusal of mythology, astronomy/astrology, history, poetry and fable. Great reading!

Interesting connections made.
Format: Paperback
I bought this because or had been referred to in several other excellent books I've read. Very scholarly and good case made but a bit dry and overdone/redundant at times when making a point. And if you've studied a lot, nothing really new revealed- but if just starting down this road, some great comparisons made.

Seminal
Format: Paperback
As many have noted, Hamlet's Mill is not an "easy" read, but it is an absolutely worthwhile experience not only to read but to re-read this seminal thesis on the transmission of ancient astronomical knowledge through mythology and legend. Perhaps the fact that a reader must wrestle with this text is part of the reason that it has generated so many fruitful inquiries and theories by later authors. The entire book is rich with ideas, many of which the authors drop and then pick up again and again later in the text, some of which are simply left for later analysts to pursue further on their own. Slice into it at any point and you will find a rich vein of material that can suggest new avenues for you to explore in the ancient history and literatures of the world. Sometimes an easy read or a text that hands you all of its answers and does the work for you is not "what the doctor ordered." Hamlet's Mill definitely makes more sense the second and even third time through. That in and of itself makes this book worth your while -- it's a gift that keeps on giving, a book you can keep on reading, even after you reach the end!
