This new Blaze 86 is the narrowest ski in the Blaze series. It offers an ideal combination of smooth “surfie” feel and light weight, and one of the only skis in this category that features a 3D radius sidecut, It includes a full tip-to-tail, Multi-Layer Light wood core. This minimizes weight and makes the ski very lively from turn to turn. The Blaze 86 also includes Volkl's very techie elastisizes, rubber suspension inserts elements around the edges of its tip and the tail, which act dampen and smooth out the ride amazingly well, especially in wind-blown, trashy, unfavourable snow conditions, making the ski more stable and easier to keep on line through the turn.
Blaze models are designed for quick, short turns. But its three different sidecut radii, in combination its full hybrid multi-layer wood core, allow it to fit many riding styles and able to handle aggressive skiing. The Blaze 86 is ideal for athletic all-mountain skiers who want to go off-piste, and for classic freeriders and ski tourers who are happy to put up with an extra 100 g in exchange for significantly improved performance.
The Blaze 86 is factory package with the Marker vMotion 11 binding system. This lightweight binding system is a great match to this ski, and fits any boot with no holes to drill ever. ♦ DIN range is 3 to 11, which fits just about any adult skier.
