This course will prepare dental offices for their next unannounced inspection from the Texas Department of State Health Services – Radiation Control Bureau. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This course will provide participants with pounds of prevention; there is no reason to ever get an x-ray violation. This course will support you to that end.
Course Objectives:
- Participants will review safety considerations while working with x-ray equipment
- Participants will review safety considerations while working with laser equipment
- Participants will develop an understanding of state inspection processes
- Participants will be able to identify and articulate two types of periodic x-ray equipment checks.
Participants will be able to articulate compliance requirements for 289.232 and 232.227 (DSHS x-ray and laser rules)
