A rarity! This is a replica of the memorable Joseph Adama lighter used in all three of the 2003 Battlestar Galactica installments, including the prequels Blood and Chrome (it's last appearance) and Caprica.
First introduced in "The Hand of God" when William Adama gifts the "good lighter" to his son, Lee "Apollo" Adama, this lighter became a symbol between the formerly estranged family members. According to William, his father Joseph was gifted this lighter by his wife (and William's mother), Evelyn, and Joseph claimed to have never lost a case when he carried it with him into the court room.
While Lee did win the battle for tylium on an asteroid in "The Hand of God," we must surmise that he must have forgotten the lighter aboard Galactica multiple times. RIP "Blackbird" and Pegasus.
Prop Facts
Like the original, this replica uses a Regens' "trench lighter" with spring powered, side squeeze spark igniter and snuff-cap circa 1930s-40s as the base upon which the Joseph Adama name is engraved (and black-filled) on one side. The other side is not engraved, as per the original.
Measuring 2.15in x 1.3in x .5in (5.46cm x 3.3cm x 1.27cm), this item is made of brass with silver plating and features a removable fuel tank that can be cleaned and re-filled separate from the base unit.
Lighter has been verified functional, as depicted the photos. The base lighter has also been restored and cleaned up as best as possible, but kept "weathered" and used as shiny futures (and lighters, too) are overrated anyway according to good ol' Lee.
Note that the fuel tank will be emptied and cleaned prior to shipping, so you will need to fill it with lighter fluid should you wish to use it. It will include cotton fill and a dry wick.
The original, and best "good lighter" featured in Battlestar Galactica's "The Hand of God" was auctioned off for some several thousand dollars in 2009. This replica is considerably less, and can be yours without the frakkin' felgercarb of "collectible shipping service" fees, buyer's premiums, and the like.

They’re fantastic!!!!

My clothing size is 16/18 and XL. Even though Amazon suggested a size XXL, I ordered my normal XL and they fit perfectly.
The fabric for this style is 92% bamboo viscose and is amazingly soft and almost silky feeling. I had ordered a different boy short in this brand but they were 80% bamboo viscose and the fabric was significantly heavier. I returned those and ordered these.

Super soft and comfortable!
I haven't bought new underwear in forever. I used to wear thongs, but now find them incredibly uncomfortable. The last few times I've tried to buy new underwear, the sizing was either way off (I'm a medium, but gave up after having to return them for a large and then extra large) or the quality was horrible (two brands stretch waaaay out and they can fall down while wearing them (I have larger ass-ets, so they shouldn't start to slide down during use). I tried these after buying some bamboo pyjamas and I love them! They are incredibly soft, comfortable, and stretchy. I can use them all day, and they work well, whether I'm lounging on the couch or wearing them under my spandex shorts at the gym, they don't ride up or slide down. They are both comfortable and look sexy, while providing support in all the right places. I haven't had them too long, so I can't speak on the durability, but they appear to be of good quality and I plan to order more, this time without the band.

Well made, light fabric. Waist doesn't roll.
These bamboo underwear really do keep you cool.
They fit true to size, and wear easily. the wide elastic waist band doesn't roll on me.
They are comfortable to wear, washed and dried easily.
The material has some stretch to it, but not a lot.

Good quality, smooth feel
I got these briefs so recently that have washed just one pair so far. First off, these are very comfortable, the material is soft & bordering silky, good quality sewing. Wash well and minimal if any shrinkage. They do come a bit wrinkled from the dryer but hey, these are underwear and will go on smoothly. If it were a t-shirt, I would look sloppy. I feel the sizing is accurate. No rolling and these don't announce themselves under clothing. Planning on getting more of these boxers and replacing my old panties.

A little snug on the thighs

Super comfy, soft and thin. For reference, I'm 5'6", 135, athletic build. I bought medium. I almost returned them because I thought they were a bit too snug on my thighs, and my thighs are not large at all. I was concerned about panty lines under snug clothing. But, because they're thin, I figured they would probably stretch, so I kept them. So far, I've only worn them under a night shirt, but they're super comfortable and they dont ride up at all. Very nice, but if your thighs are a little thick, you probably won't like them.
