Lyophilized Preservative for Room-Temperature Stability

The preservative tube in this kit contains a lyophilized Boric Acid, Sodium Formate, and Sodium Borate preservative that maintains urine specimen integrity for up to 48 hours at room temperature. This preservative inhibits bacterial overgrowth without causing toxicity to existing pathogens, giving labs a reliable processing window without the need for refrigeration. A minimum fill line at 3 mL ensures the proper additive-to-urine ratio is maintained for accurate culture results.

A Complete System for Clean-Catch Collection

Each kit includes a preservative tube, a urine collection cup, and Castile soap towelettes for genitourinary cleansing prior to collection. The integrated design supports a closed-system transfer from cup to tube, reducing contamination risk and simplifying the process for both patients and clinical staff.
