DonJoy Playmaker II FourcePoint Knee Brace

The DonJoy Playmaker II FourcePoint is an elite clinical orthosis specifically engineered for the high-level stabilization of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). By integrating patented FourcePoint™ hinge technology with a high-tenacity Hi10™ fabric chassis, this brace creates a Zero-Friction environment that proactively manages the "at-risk" zones of knee extension. The FourcePoint hinge increases resistance during the final stages of extension, dampening joint movement to significantly reduce ACL strain and improve the patient's mechanical "landing" habits. Measuring 16 inches in length for maximum leverage, the Playmaker II FourcePoint is the premier clinical choice for active patients and athletes requiring a non-custom, high-integrity anchor to manage ACL instabilities and post-surgical reconstructions.

Clinical Features & Patient Benefits

  • Patented FourcePoint™ Hinge Technology: Provides "Zero-Friction" mechanical dampening that increases resistance in the last 25 degrees of extension, training the joint to stay out of the "danger zone" for ACL injuries.
  • Advanced Hi10™ Performance Fabric: Features a high-tenacity nylon and spandex posterior panel that provides "Zero-Friction" airflow, preventing skin irritation and bunching in the popliteal fold behind the knee.
  • Rigid Aluminum Hinge Bars: Engineered for a "Zero-Friction" lightweight profile that provides the structural integrity necessary to manage medial and lateral (side-to-side) instabilities.
  • High-Leverage 16-Inch Frame: Specifically designed to provide a "Zero-Friction" stable anchor to the femur and tibia, ensuring the brace stays in the correct anatomical position during high-demand activities.

The Clinical Authority: Why Professionals Trust the Playmaker II FourcePoint

Orthopedic specialists and Sports Medicine Practitioners specify the DonJoy Playmaker II FourcePoint for its "ligament-sparing" biomechanics. Its "Zero-Friction" environment is the gold standard for non-operative ACL management and post-reconstruction protocols where controlling the terminal extension is a primary clinical goal. By providing a mechanical brake to the knee joint, the brace minimizes the shear forces that often lead to re-injury. This targeted approach is highly effective for improving neuromuscular control and providing the structural security required for a safe return to functional athletics.

FAQ: Advanced ACL Protection & Sizing

How does the FourcePoint hinge feel compared to a standard hinge?
The "Zero-Friction" FourcePoint hinge feels like a gentle, spring-like resistance as you straighten your leg, which helps prevent the "snapping" motion that stresses the ACL.

Is this brace suitable for high-humidity environments?
Yes. The "Zero-Friction" Hi10™ fabric and breathable Spacer material are specifically chosen for superior moisture management, making it much cooler than traditional neoprene braces.

Does it fit either leg?
Yes. The anatomical design is universal, providing a "Zero-Friction" clinical fit for both the Left and Right knee.

Specifications & Sizing Table

Selection is based on the circumference of the thigh (6" above mid-patella), knee (mid-patella), and calf (6" below mid-patella). Measure carefully for an optimal "Zero-Friction" clinical fit:

A good start

This feels familiar and fresh at the same time. Three stars because there isn't much to chew on here but it looks like an interesting set up.

Good jumping on point.
Format: Kindle
This was a good read for me. Superman being my favorite character in all of fiction, I will admit my opinion of this is a bit biased but even then bias aside I felt like this was a good start to what is I hope is a good story.

Thrilling and illustrated beautifully
Format: Paperback
Do not miss this series if your a Star Wars fan, if your a Vader fan in particular this is a must read comic as it really goes into Vaders early days and his journey to become a true champion of the dark side. Had to put it down on purpose several times so it would not end. Loving my second read of the same volume as well. This book pulls no punches and the writing is much better than I thought it would be. This is one of the few new Marvel comics that can stand tall with the classics and Dark Horses comics. Illustrations are top notch and the story is well thought out.

An origins story of sorts
Format: Paperback
Darth Vader is an angry man. Recently Anakin Skywalker, hero of the Republic, the Chosen One in the eyes of some of the Jedi, he is now a literally broken man, as much machine as human, as result of losing a battle with his former master—and ‘brother’—and left to die along the lava rivers of Mustafar. Worse, he is bereft of his great love, Padme Amidala, and is at least the proximate, if not the direct, cause of her death. So yeah, he has a few things to work out. This first volume of the second DV run from Marvel focuses on how Vader becomes Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith that strikes fear in the hearts of friend and foe alike. The plot here across the six collected issues is fairly minimal. Having lost his lightsaber to Obi-Wan in the Mustafar fight, he needs a new one, and it needs to a Sith saber, which can only be gotten by taking a saber from a foe and “bleeding” it, by infusing its crystal with all the hate and anger that drives the Sith. In the process, this will turn the crystal’s light red (thus explaining why Sith sabers are the color they are). So, the first three issues are about him acquiring and crafting said saber. The other issues are his rocky introduction to and training of the Inquisitorious, the Emperor’s new Jedi hunters. So, with six issues of not a whole lot of story, does this collection work? To my surprise, yes it does. This is all about emotion, and if there is a standout star, it’s Vader’s rage. His former life gone, crushed and burned in the fires of Mustafar, Vader’s going to forge a new one in the very flames of his anger. Writer Charles Soule has done a fine job in depicting this inner turmoil and translating it into the foundations of the Dark Lord’s new life. Also nicer is artist Giuseppe Camuncoli’s work. The artwork is dynamic—Vader is agile, fluid and skillful —and interesting. It’s good stuff and does a fine job giving us insight to Vader’s state of mind. As I’ve said, there’s not a whole lot of story here, but there is a fine character study of damaged man rebuilding himself into a powerful and formidable individual.
