This Mid-Century Modern crescent moon pendant has a sleek design with graduated pearls that look like milky dew drops. The pearls are held in a peg setting, with posts of 14k gold drilled into the pearls so that the pearls appear to be floating, with each visible in its entirety. The pearls graduate subtly in size, with the largest pearl at the center of the piece. The tips of the crescent shape are a continuation of the pearl-adorned gold bar, which offers a lovely seamlessness to the piece’s structure and allows the moon to end in two delicate points. Cresent moons have been a beloved motif in jewelry since the Victorian era, when celestial jewelry was at the height of its popularity. Reiterations of the motif have been seen in other decades—this is a Mid-Century Modern version.
The pendant measures 1 1/8” x 1/8”, plus an additional 4 x 6 mm bail. It weighs 1.55 grams. The pearls range in size from 3.6 mm - 2.7 mm. The pendant is marked on the bail as 14k.

Dr. G.
Format: Paperback
Jesse Graves (a.k.a. "Dr. G.") is one of my professors at East Tennessee State University. Not only is he a great teacher, he is a very talented poet. I would recommend his work to anyone! Anyone that does not like his work probably just failed his class. :p

Incredibly Prescient -- Touches On The Major Trends Of Our Times
Format: Hardcover
I was blown away by the fact that the author started writing this book a couple of years ago, before artificial intelligence was in the news, and before the topic and trend of loneliness became so prevalent. The clairvoyance is uncanny and the storyline, while fictional, is totally believable given what's going on in our world today. This is why the novel almost reads like nonfiction, but the plotline carries you forward like a fictional thriller. I audibly gasped, "Holy crap" during the plot twist at the end of the book. Truly a work of art, there is no doubt that this will be adapted for either a movie or a series.

Deeply human, yet visionary
Format: Kindle
This book takes a thoughtful approach to the notion of loneliness in the faces of AI and the many robotic companions already in development or on the market.

Compelling story, beautifully written
Format: Kindle
Loneliness & Company was a fantastic read. In a truly novel take and an incredibly fun read, Charlee Dyroff confronts both the growing endemic of loneliness and the looming threat of AI, pushing us subtly to think deeply and thoughtfully about the implications of both. More than that though, Loneliness & Company is beautifully written, populated by great characters and is driven forward with a compelling, narrative. Its the first book in a very long while that I couldn't wait to get back to. Definitely would give this my strongest recommendation.

3.5
Format: Hardcover
This is a smart book, an interesting book but it was hard for me to read as the style was more technical/detached than i like. It worked for the story but not for the kind of reader I am. It is worth the read though despite this 3.5
