COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Training New Supervisors for Workplace Success course. This program will equip you with the skills, frameworks, and facilitation techniques required to design, deliver, and evaluate effective training for newly appointed supervisors. You will explore the importance of structured supervisor development, the realities new supervisors face, the common mistakes they make, and the strategies trainers must use to prepare them for leadership responsibilities. This course also examines adult learning principles, interactive design methods, facilitation techniques, evaluation models, and best-practice approaches for both individual and small-group training.

This course begins by examining the importance of effective training for supervisors and the realities that new supervisors must navigate as they transition into leadership roles. You will explore the top ten mistakes commonly made by new supervisors and how to assess their learning needs using structured methods. This section also examines the primary methods for needs assessment, the general warnings and caveats associated with interpreting results, and how to use focus groups to gather deeper insights. You will explore how to adapt, prepare for, and conduct effective focus groups that help identify performance gaps, training priorities, and organisational expectations.

The next learning area focuses on designing interactive training that reflects how adults learn and what new supervisors require to develop confidence and capability. You will explore the principles of adult learning, what to keep in mind when preparing a detailed training plan, and how to facilitate training that encourages participation and practical application. This section also examines what a facilitator is, how experiential learning supports skill development, and the five phases of the experiential learning cycle. You will also learn the types of questions facilitators can use to implement experiential learning effectively and how to create a learning environment that supports engagement and retention.

A further learning area explores the conditions required to maximise learning and facilitate strong supervisor performance. You will examine the four conditions facilitators must create to optimise learning experiences, including emotional safety, relevance, participation, and reflection. This section also covers how to evaluate and improve new supervisor training, why evaluation is essential for quality assurance, and the classic levels of training evaluation. You will explore Kirkpatrick’s model in detail and learn how to maximise the benefits of evaluating training sessions by gathering meaningful feedback, measuring performance improvements, and aligning outcomes with organisational goals.

Another learning area focuses on training delivery formats for new supervisors, including individual and small-group training approaches. You will explore when to use an individual training session, how to choose relevant content, and how to deliver an individual session using a step-by-step structured approach. This section also examines when small-group training is appropriate, how to choose content for group-based sessions, and how to prepare and deliver a small-group training session using clear sequencing, interactive activities, and practical scenarios.

The final learning area integrates all training, design, facilitation, and evaluation elements into a coherent approach for developing new supervisors. You will explore how to apply adult learning models, how to create skill-building experiences, how to measure the effectiveness of training interventions, and how to refine training programs to support organisational performance, retention, leadership readiness, and ongoing supervisor success.

By the end of this course you will be able to assess new supervisor learning needs accurately, design interactive and engaging training programs, apply adult learning and experiential principles, facilitate training confidently, implement effective evaluation strategies, and deliver both individual and small-group training sessions that build competence, confidence, and long-term workplace success.

Great SPF lip protection and color
Color: Plum
Love the texture and color for an SPF balm. Is great lip perfection just getting used to the taste and smell. But I love this one better than other spf lip balm as it's mineral vs chemical sunscreen. Especially for lips!!

Pricy
Color: Rose
I used to buy this regularly a couple of years ago, but stopped buying because of the price. Then I bought it again, because I haven't found any other SPF lip glosses or balms that don't irritate my lips. Unfortunately, I don't know if they have changed the formulation or what, but now I'm getting irritated lips from this one too. I love the shade and the feel of it, but the whole reason why I use it is for the sun protection. I just don't know why SPF always seems to irritate my lips. I was hoping this one, being at a higher price point and a good brand would be the one that doesn't. But the hunt is still on.

Not coral and not sheer
Color: Coral
I got the coral and it’s actually an opaque terracotta. Plus it tingles the lips and causes irritation. Extremely disappointed.
