Constructed from 100% cast iron, the PL-1860 engine lathe is built to last and is known for consistent performance and durability even under the most demanding work conditions. Precision ground and hardened ways on the PL-1860 are further protected by a Turcite-B® coating, which offers years of protection to the ways when under the most grueling turning conditions.
The PL-1860 gear head lathe has 12 different speed combinations allowing for speeds between 80 and 2000 RPM. A powerful 7-1/2 HP motor allows for heavy cuts to be shaved off of the turned part. This allows for better turned surfaces, faster production, and longer tooling life
