Lowland Acid Grassland Seed Mix
This wildflower seed mix has been developed to support the creation of lowland acid grassland habitat (g1) on low-fertility, acidic soils such as heathland edges, upland pastures, and unimproved meadows. The mix is dominated by acid grassland indicator species and low-vigour grasses, making it suitable for long-term grassland restoration and Biodiversity Net Gain delivery. Species selection has been informed by NVC U-series acid grassland communities.
The mix performs best under light grazing or low-intensity cutting. Final vegetation composition will depend on soil conditions, management and time, with the best results achieved where fertility is kept low and competition is carefully managed during establishment.
