Redefine your dining experience with the Cobble Dining Table, a masterful blend of organic inspiration and industrial precision. Designed by Elisa Giovannoni, this table belongs to a family of furniture that draws its aesthetic from the smooth, weathered shapes of river stones (cobblestones), bringing a touch of nature’s soft geometry into the contemporary home. The Cobble collection is centered around the idea of "domestic nature." Elisa Giovannoni has crafted a base with soft, rounded volumes that mimic stones polished by water. This sturdy, central pedestal not only provides a striking sculptural silhouette but also maximizes legroom, making it a highly functional choice for social gatherings. The "cobble" base is made from durable polyethylene, offering a solid, architectural look while remaining surprisingly lightweight and easy to maintain. Available in high-quality materials such as HPL (High-Pressure Laminate) or other premium finishes, ensuring a surface that is resistant to scratches, heat, and daily wear. The base features a clever design that allows it to hold a central planter or an ice bucket, seamlessly blending utility with decoration. Thanks to the weather-resistant properties of its materials, the Cobble dining table is equally at home in a formal dining room or on a chic Mediterranean terrace.

An admiring but not uncritical portrait of a titan in the rule of law
Format: Hardcover
Professor White delivers an admiring but not uncritical portrait of a man who stood for qualities and principles now in short supply. Jackson was a leading practitioner when other judges were more political, but nevertheless had to speak the language of the rule of law. And his contributions at Nuremberg, haphazardly portrayed in the recent movie, really come through . The United States would help establish a record of epic misdeeds and show that the perpetrators could be punished in a system of justice.

Comprehensive and compelling
Format: Hardcover
With this volume, Mc Coy firmly establishes himself as a historian whose far sightedness only improves with age. A robust story teller, he demonstrates an uncanny ability to ferret the secrets out of arcane documents and records and connect the dots into a compelling narrative. Here he shows how the best and worst of political and military strategy in the US and the other cold war powers shaped the course of global events in profound ways. The lessons for us today simply leap from the page. This is a must read for any thoughtful observer of today’s world.

Brilliant until last two chapters
Format: Kindle
A riveting well researched deep dive into the cold war up through the 1980s. The later chapters following the collapse of the Soviet Union seem to have been hurriedly written and only superficially cover events, particularly so as relates to Russia.
