About the Designer:

Blabla was created in 2001 by Susan Pritchett and Florence Wetterwald, two good friends with the same philosophy of life and beauty. While visiting Peru, the two came across entire villages of expert knitters who had been keeping the tradition alive for generations. Inspired by the talent of the knitters and the incredible quality and softness of Peruvian cotton, Susan and Florence decided to start their own company of cuddly knitted products for children. 

For each toy, the duo starts by researching the qualities of the animal, which then evolves into a more whimsical character with its own personality traits, backstory, and costume. They send their drawings and specs off to Peru where their talented teams of knitters bring the images to life.
