Self-drilling sheet metal screws are fully threaded with a sharp point and possess a drill point enabling it to pilot in its own hole in light gauge steel. Drill-X® Self-drilling metal screws deliver superior performance with a faster drive time and stronger pull-out rating. Made of high-quality steel and is specially heat treated. Featuring a drill point or self-drilling tip that eliminates the need for pre-drilling which saves time during installation. These screws drill their own hole, that forms its own threads into the mating material. Can be used in steel, plastics, composite materials, wood plus various laminates. No pre-drilling is required.
