These are designed to handicap the eye, with its much greater range of apparent densities, to resemble the range of the various types of film.
- Use contrast viewers to judge relative highlight and shadow densities
- There are viewers for black-and-white film, as well as various viewer densities for color film
- A darker viewer is used for slower film speeds, where you would tend to use brighter lighting; faster film, which can be used in dimmer settings would require a lighter viewer
Tiffen Viewing Filters
- The #1 is for black-and-white imaging
- The #2 viewer is for film speeds to 100
- #3 is for faster film; They can be used for video, as well, with the #3 being better suited for lower light levels
- The green #4 viewer is for process photography
- The blue #5 is for blue screen work, as well as for setting up color video monitors

Great value, great quality.

My husband bought this watch for work. He can’t have his phone on him at work so this watch has been very useful for him. He sweats a lot and works in a warehouse. He has a nicer “church” watch I bought him as a wedding gift and he actually has started to prefer this one.
There are only two little annoyances (which might be able to be fixed) every hour the clock beeps and that the alarm goes off every morning including weekends. Those things might be features which some desire and some that even we are impressed by so 🤷🏻♀️ as I said, those minor issues might be fixed if we look into them but my husband doesn’t find them as bothersome as I do and he’s the one who wears it.

Would definitely recommend this watch.

Nice manly watch. Many Timex watches are too small. I love the size of this one and yet it's still lightweight. The face of the watch is neatly organized and very clear to read. Indiglo light works well at night. Only thing I see missing from this watch is a countdown timer. It has a stopwatch.
