About Our Children's Sumak Loafers
Our children’s line of shoes are based on our popular Kilim Loafer style. A precious keepsake, and perfect for special occasions when you want to match your little one! Each one-of-a-kind shoe is made from hand-sourced Sumak carpets, woven with wool and silk to create intricate, detailed patterns. Soft linings and a leather insole give plush comfort to bare feet, and a sturdy leather sole with a rubber heel detail gives them long-lasting durability.

- Handmade in Istanbul in a small, family-owned workshop, by cobblers whose families have practiced the craft for generations.
- Sumak (also spelled Soumak, Soumakh, Sumac, and Soumac) kilims have a stronger weave and a more textural hand than other types of kilim carpets. They are known for their intricate designs that incorporate finely detailed symbols, figures, and representations of animals. The crisp and boldly contrasting blues, reds, and whites often featured in Sumak kilims make them a favorite among our community.
