Before Team America, the world’s most beloved marionette puppets were most certainly those Thunderbirds from Tracy Island. They may not have been on the same team as Matt Damon, but the Tracy Family certainly knew how to get the job done.

 

Premiering in 1964, although set in 2065, Thunderbirds is a TV series following the exploits of the Tracy family, headed by American ex-astronaut Jeff Tracy. 

 

Jeff is a widower with five adult sons: Scott, John, Virgil, Gordon and Alan, who make up International Rescue (IR), a secret organisation founded to save human life. They are aided in this mission by technologically-advanced land, sea, air and space vehicles that are called into service when conventional rescue methods prove ineffective. 

 

However this first wave doesn’t features the Tracy boys, instead we’ve got the highly-intelligent engineers who designed the Thunderbirds vehicles, Brains. He’s joined by IR’s field agent Lady Penelope, who has invited her butler Aloysius Parker along to chauffeur her around your Funko collection.
