COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Implement & Evaluate Experiences that Nurture Creativity in Children course. This program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to foster artistic expression, imagination, and innovation in early childhood settings.

In this course, we will delve into various facets of creativity, exploring its significance in children's development and learning while aligning with the requirements of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and related regulations and laws.

Section A of this course will provide a foundational understanding of creativity and the arts in early childhood education. We will examine current research and theories surrounding the role of the arts and creativity, emphasising the value of both the process and the product of artistic endeavours.

Furthermore, we will explore how arts and creativity intersect with diverse cultures, highlighting the importance of creative freedom and its implications for practice in the Australian childcare sector.

Additionally, you will gain insights into techniques and skills necessary to support children in implementing their creative ideas, including the maintenance of resources and equipment used in creative experiences. We will discuss various forms of artistic expression and how to match creative opportunities to children's interests, while structuring experiences that encourage and support their exploration.

Evaluation methods for reviewing children's learning and educators' practices throughout the artistic process will also be covered, ensuring that participants are equipped with effective assessment strategies to monitor and enhance children's creative development.

In Section B, we will further explore the role of the arts in early childhood development and learning, emphasising the positive connection between creativity and different learning dispositions.

Participants will learn how to provide inclusive experiences that expose children to a range of art forms and artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples' art forms and artists.

Moreover, this section will focus on practical strategies for nurturing creativity based on children's interests and cultural backgrounds, including research and organisation of resources, promotion of diverse materials, and facilitation of collaborative and sustainable creative experiences.

Participants will learn to foster children's creative confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills while promoting a sense of value and responsibility for equipment and materials.

Furthermore, participants will develop skills in planning and implementing holistic experiences that encompass a wide range of creative domains, including construction, digital technologies, dramatic and imaginative play, language and storytelling, movement, music, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths), and visual art.

Through documentation and evaluation of these experiences, participants will gain insights into assessing children's participation and outcomes, informing future practice to continually enhance creative opportunities in early childhood settings.

By the end of this course, you will be empowered to foster a culture of creativity and innovation, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and holistic development in young children.

The Perfect Firm Pillow l
Size: Queen (1 Count), Color: Original White (Cooling)
It is everything it claims to be, cool, comfortable and strong. I got this for my husband first, he loves it and then got one for my son, he uses it to support his knees and has been sleeping much better since then. They both needed a firm pillow that is not super soft, firm but not achy. Finally found the perfect one.

Feel like I am in hotel
Size: Standard (Pack of 2), Style: Soft, Configuration: Pillow
These pillows are absolutely amazing! They feel just like the luxurious ones you find in high-end hotels—soft, fluffy, and super comfortable. They provide great support for my head and neck, helping me sleep better every night. The white design is clean and classic, and they hold their shape well without going flat. I bought two and couldn’t be happier—worth every penny! Highly recommend for anyone wanting hotel-quality comfort at home.

Great set of pillows!!!
Size: Standard (Pack of 2), Style: Soft, Configuration: Pillow
I ordered this set of two down alternative pillows to replace some older pillows, and I’m honestly really impressed with the quality. Right out of the package, the pillows fluffed up nicely and felt soft yet supportive. They have that plush feel you want without being too flat or too firm, which makes them comfortable in multiple sleeping positions. I’ve been sleeping on these for a bit now and they’ve held their shape well throughout the night. They provide good neck support while still feeling cozy, and I don’t wake up with soreness or stiffness. What I like most is how breathable they feel compared to some other pillows I’ve tried. They stay comfortable without overheating, and the down alternative fill makes them a great option for anyone with allergies. Overall, this set is an excellent value for the price. If you’re looking for soft, supportive pillows that feel comfortable and well made, I would definitely recommend these.

Great, soft, high-quality pillows, but too thick for me
Size: Standard (Pack of 2), Style: Soft, Configuration: Pillow
This will be a brief review of my pillow journey. I tried a few of the most popular pillows, like MyPillow, Amazon Basics, bamboo/shredded foam, memory pillows, but my most common complaint about them were that they were all just too high and firm for me. I am a restless sleeper and alternate between back, side, and stomach sleeping, and I strongly preferred the stomach sleeper/flat pillows with a polyester fiber/down alternative filling. Here's a ranking of my 4 top pillows: Eversnug Adjustable Layer Pillows - (#1) These were THE pillow for me. I had never heard of these pillows or the company, but I really like being able to adjust my pillow. These pillows came with 2 small, 2 medium, and 2 large pillows and 2 twin zippable pillow pouches. All of them were polyester fiber filled and somewhat flat and soft, but not lumpy. The pillows may not come the exact same sizes, but they are close enough for me. These are the pillows I ultimately decided to stick with, despite being slightly more expensive than the others at $50 for a set of 2 pillows. Nappler Bamboo Shredded Memory Foam Pillow - (#2) Before I found the Eversnug pillows, I was trying the adjustable bamboo shredded memory foam ones. These were my go-to whenever I was testing pillows I didn't like very much. The only downside to these pillows is that if you don't add enough filling, you could feel the edges of the shredded foam. Also, the "bamboo" cover was way too warm and the inner zipper would get too easily caught. Amazon Basics Down Alternative Pillow - (#3) I don't think I've ever been disappointed by an Amazon Basics product yet. These pillows were soft, amazing pillows, but they were 1-2 inches too thick/firm for me. MyPillow - (#4) Despite all the hype around these, they were too lumpy and 1 inch too thick for me. Like I said previously, I ended up going with the Eversnug Adjustable pillows, which I absolutely adore. A tiny bonus is that you can take the pillows you don't use and rest them on your sides or between your knees for some extra cushioning.

Good price and pretty comfortable
Size: Standard (Pack of 2), Style: Soft, Configuration: Pillow
These down alternative pillows are incredibly soft and comfortable, especially for stomach and back sleepers. The soft density gives just the right amount of support without feeling too firm or too flat. I’ve been sleeping much better since switching to these pillows, and they stay fluffy throughout the night. I also love that they’re hypoallergenic, so there’s no irritation or overheating while sleeping. The standard size fits perfectly in my pillowcases, and the white color looks clean and fresh. Getting a 2-pack at this quality is a great value. Highly recommend for anyone looking for cozy, hotel-style pillows at an affordable price!
