"A monumental wine for the price, one of the best value wines I’ve ever found" Steve Bennett, Master of Wine, Importer

"There is yet more impressive “Iberian Best in Show” value from this Pago wine, the first in Aragon: Ayles, sited near to Zaragoza. It’s a young blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo with a little Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and stood out for successive panels of judges thanks to its generosity poise and charm. Dark black-red in colour, its sweet, pure black-cherry and plum fruits waft alluringly from the glass. The concentration is remarkable for this price bracket, and the combination of indigenous varieties with a seasoning of Bordeaux favourites brings the wine a complexity which almost comes as a surprise after its aromatic sweetness. It’s a wine from evidently propitious vineyards - about which we will surely hear more in future" Decanter Magazine

Vino de Pago is produced in a very specific area of terroir, with specific characteristics of soil, climate and varieties that make unique,  differentiated wines that are awarded the top classification of Spanish wine, “Denomination de Pago.” To date only 20 Spanish wineries have been classified "Denomination de Pago." Pago Aylés was the 10th to achieve the classification in 2010 and is the first and only Pago in the Aragon region. The estate is located in North-Eastern Spain, 30km from the city of Zaragoza with deep roots linked to the history of the province.

The Vino de Pago is a blend of all varietals grown on the property; Garnacha, Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cuesta del Herrero plots have pudding stones and clay soil with a high calcium component. This composition enables the production of fresh, vibrant wines of high quality due to a superior foliar balance and a slower grape maturity.

Harvest by night. Cold pre-fermentation maceration. The Tempranillo and Merlot are co-fermented first because of a similar maturation cycle, and the Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache are co-fermented later for the same reason. Temperature controlled fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation takes place in second and third use French oak cask, then 6 months maturation in barrel. Ageing potential: Between 5 and 7 years.

The result is an incredible “best buy.” Considering the astonishing amount of work and effort to stay true to history and the terroir, plus the attention to detail, if this monumental wine was French or Italian, it would be well over $50.

ONE At A Time now
Color: Aqua, Size: 2 Bowls
Thankful I bought two sets for this family of 4. Quite inconvenient to be able to make 2 people their ice cream while 2 others wait (or change their mind while waiting) Makes no sense why this set comes with ONE CHURN. Recipe booklet was minimal I got more from YouTube. Lids should come with the kit not separate. It was exciting to make yet disappointing we had to take turns and couldn't work together all at once. Ice cream was good, soft serve preferred.

Small Investment with Great Results
Color: Aqua, Size: 2 Bowls, Color: Aqua, Size: 2 Bowls
I'm just getting into making ice cream at home and after doing weeks of exhaustive research, including probably 100 hours of YouTube videos (I know, I have a problem, but the research is for me a big part of the fun), I was ready to set my budget at between $200 and $400 for a compressor ice cream machine. Then I ran across this Dash My Cup Set. I returned to YouTube and after just a few videos I decided that for a small fraction of my initial budget I could "get my feet wet" with the My Cup. Another deciding factor was that the Freezer Mugs were small enough to not sacrifice too much of my freezer space. I've made several batches of ice cream using both the included recipes and some I have found online and I must say, the results have been fabulous. Sure the finished ice cream right out of the machine is a soft serve consistency but after a couple of hours in the freezer you will have ice cream firm enough to form excellent scoops. Just be sure to follow good recipes otherwise you may end up with ice cream hard as a rock. So learning a bit about the science of ice cream is critical for good results. Although the portion size is small, it's actually bigger than I expected. I'm an ice cream lover and sure, polishing off the entire batch in one sitting is no problem but, I am definitely satisfied with the amount. And if you opt for the Set with the extra mug, you'll always have a mug ready for your next batch. Definitely the way to go in my opinion. The My Mug is very well made (as are most of the Dash products of which I have an Egg Cooker and a Waffle Iron) and the motor will turn the dasher through the thickest of recipes. If you overload with mix-ins it might run into difficulties but otherwise you're good to go. Will the My Mug be the "end game" ice cream machine? Probably not. But for a small investment I can experiment with different recipes and see where this new found hobby takes me. And even if I do get a larger, fancier and more expensive machine in the future, I will probably keep the My Mug anyway to test out new flavors. This way I can see what I like without wasting too many ingredients.

Not bad for an inexpensive ice cream maker
Color: Aqua, Size: 2 Bowls
For something this cheap, it’s definitely not that bad. The directions are easy to follow but I went and put the ice cream in the freezer for at least 30 mins more to cool the ice cream to the perfect consistency and it turned out great! After I made vanilla ice cream from the recipe in the book, I started concocting my own recipes and everything has turned out yummy!

Better than my $100 coffee maker!
Color: Black, Style: coffeemaker
Bought this to replace a very expensive coffee maker that broke after a year and a half. Works excellent! Freed up so much counter space. Saw complaints about the hot plate peeling so I always make sure the bottom of the coffee pot is dry and have had no issues. No leakage as long as the basket is in correctly. Love this simple yet very functional coffee maker.
