Most LPVO-class scopes force a choice: fast acquisition at close range or usable holdovers at distance. The Athlon Helos BTR GEN2 2-12×42 bridges that gap with the AHMR2 FFP reticle in MOA — a center circle with a fine dot for precision, plus an integrated ranging reticle calibrated for deer-sized targets out to 600 yards.

The AHMR2 reticle pairs a wide center circle for fast target pickup at 2× with a fine center dot that becomes a precision aiming point as magnification increases. Below center, the Christmas-tree holdover grid extends with windage dots that progressively widen at each drop line. A built-in distance ranging ladder — calibrated for an 18-inch target (whitetail buck) — gives rapid range estimation from 200 to 600 yards without a rangefinder. First focal plane keeps all subtensions accurate across the full 2-12× range.

Key Features
  • 30mm one-piece tube with 110 MOA elevation travel — generous adjustment range with 80 MOA of windage and 25 MOA per revolution for fast dialing
  • Locking turrets with precision zero stop — pull up to dial, push down to lock. The zero stop returns you to your confirmed zero with a hard, repeatable stop
  • 55.7 ft field of view at 2× — wide enough for both-eyes-open shooting and fast target transitions at close range, narrowing to 9.6 ft at 12× for mid-range precision
  • Advanced fully multi-coated optics with XPL coating — AFMC lenses deliver high light transmission across the spectrum, while the XPL protective layer guards against abrasion and environmental damage
  • Argon purged — inert gas purging provides superior fog-proofing and internal moisture resistance compared to nitrogen-filled alternatives
  • Side focus parallax adjustment — adjustable from 10 yards to infinity for parallax-free shooting at any distance

Ideal For

Hunters running one rifle from timber to treeline who prefer MOA adjustments and need a scope that covers 50-yard brush shots and 400-yard cross-canyon opportunities with a single optic — the 2× low end and illuminated center circle handle close-range speed, while FFP holdovers stay accurate for longer pokes.

3-gun and multi-gun competitors who want FFP MOA holdovers in a lightweight 25.4 oz package — the wide field of view at low magnification handles close bays, while 12× provides enough reach for precision stages.

DMR and designated marksman builds where the rifle needs to function from CQB distances out to 600 yards — the integrated ranging reticle gives rapid distance estimation on deer-sized targets without breaking position to use a rangefinder.

Great quality for the Price
Surprisingly decent for the price! The wood is actually pretty and high quality, but the manufacturing isn't great. The set a received is quite rough and my wife continues to think she will get a splinter. They also are oiled but they are quite dry still and also smell heavily of the mineral oil they use.

Beautiful but terrible quality.
While I absolutely loved the idea of cutting boards with a stand, these were not the right choice. The wood is exceptionally soft and after the first use the gouges from my knife were pretty deep. After I washed the cutting board from cutting veggies, it started to splinter. Maybe I just got a defective set but I definitely do not recommend this set. Will be returning and getting a different brand/board.

Comprehensive and Engaging New Testament Resource
Format: Hardcover
From Pentecost to Patmos, 2nd Edition by Craig Blomberg is an outstanding introduction to the New Testament books from Acts through Revelation. The author combines scholarly depth with clarity, making it an excellent resource for both students and lay readers looking to deepen their understanding of Scripture. Blomberg’s analysis is thorough, offering historical context, theological insights, and practical applications. The updated content in this second edition keeps it relevant, and the engaging writing style makes complex topics approachable. I especially appreciated how each book is tied to its overarching theme in the New Testament narrative. This book is perfect for college courses or personal study, offering a well-rounded exploration of these essential biblical texts. A must-read for anyone serious about understanding the New Testament!
