This is a real color-shift vinyl, so the flip lives in the film itself, not in a coating that fades. It lays over your factory paint and seals it off from sun, light scratches, road grime, and washing wear, while giving you a finish a normal paint job can not touch. When you want your original color back, the wrap peels away and the paint underneath is still there.
