Product Information:
Released in 2002, the Sharp MD-DS8 is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality. 
It supports MDLP.
It features a Mobile 1 Bit Digital Amplifier, which was a world first. This delivers high quality audio with 20% less power consumption.
It also features a Dolby Headphone LSI to deliver realistic sound similar to that of listening via speakers (a compatible inline remote control is required to use these settings).
It weighs 72 grams without a battery or disc installed. 
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
