Commands & Colors: Medieval Expansion 1: Crusades Mid-Eastern Battles 1 is an expansion for Commands & Colors: Medieval that adds early Crusader battles, new units, and new battlefield rules to the system.
A copy of Commands & Colors: Medieval is required to play this expansion. The set focuses on major engagements from early Crusader history, including battles from Nicaea in 1097 through Hattin in 1187. Players maneuver Crusader and Mid-Eastern armies with the familiar Command card-driven system, resolving combat quickly with battle dice while adapting to historically grounded unit strengths, terrain, and scenario objectives.
New units include Crossbow Infantry, Foot Knight Infantry, Turcopole Light Bow Cavalry, Heavy Knight Cavalry, and Heavy Military Order Knight Cavalry. New rules and updates add Impetuous Pursuit, Feigned Flight, Shower Shooting, Charging Cavalry movement through friendly stationary infantry, and revised Inspired Actions for both armies. Designed for 2 players ages 12 and up, scenarios play in about 60–120 minutes. Available now at Boarding School Games—Ride into the Crusades.
