Product Description - EJB24050 - Square D Bolt-On Circuit Breaker

Schneider Electric / Square D's EJB24050 bolt-on molded case circuit breaker is a reliable and easy-to-install device designed for use in Square D NF Panelboards. This circuit breaker is CSA-rated, HID-rated and HACR-rated, and UL Listed as High-Intensity Discharge.

The EJB24050 is a 2-pole bolt-on circuit breaker, rated at 50A at a system voltage of 480Y/277V AC. The circuit breaker has a thermal-magnetic trip unit and a signal indicator to indicate when a trip occurred. The device has a hold current of 270A (the maximum current the breaker can be held at to ensure a trip will occur) and a trip current of 875A (the current value when the breaker is guaranteed to trip).

Square D's EJB24050 circuit breaker is calibrated for 40 degrees C and has aluminum lugs with a terminal lug rating of AWG 12...AWG 6 (aluminum) and AWG 14...AWG 6 (copper).

Poor socket design.

The socket contains a rubber piece to help increase the grip, but over time heat from the sun or the air vent makes the ball glue itself to this rubber piece. When you try to make an adjustment, the ball will not move in the socket and ends up breaking the socket. This is happened to me twice.
