A satin peened surface finishes off the bars. Not only is this finish attractive and resistant to fingerprinting, but it also allows for a tighter grip than a standard satin finish to reduce the likelihood of accidents. Mounting the grab bar unit is accomplished with three mounting flanges, each of which is made of a stainless steel plate that is 1/8 of an inch in thickness. The mounting hardware in the flanges is kept out of sight by snap-on flange covers crafted from 22-gauge stainless steel.
