Care: wash only when required. Handwash in cool water with gentle wool shampoo, press moisture out in a towel, reshape and dry flat.

Peruvian alpaca farming is a thousand year old tradition. Alpacas are indigenous to the Peruvian highlands where they have been domesticated since the time of Pre Incan cultures. Alpacas are bred in their natural high altitudes where they can withstand temps from -20 to 30 degrees.

Alpaca breeders belong to millenary organised communities in southern Andes of Peru and they are the first to respect and protect their animals as they depend on them as a source of a sustainable form of living.

The fur my alpaca use for pompoms comes from alpacas that have died from natural causes, the harsh weather in the alpaca-producing zones causes the death of around 15 per cent of baby alpacas in the first three months of life.
