Design and Wear:

Lunar Waters Talisman is a gold-plated silver pendant shaped around water, moonlight, and soft movement. At the top, square-cut Aquamarine brings a cool blue point of clarity and calm expression. Below it, oval Blue Moonstone glows with lunar softness, anchoring the centre of the design with intuition and emotional depth. Three raw Stick Pearls hang freely beneath, adding movement, texture, and a dreamlike ocean-born finish.

The design has a dreamcatcher feeling, filtering emotion, memory, and spirit through gemstone light and organic silverwork. The 18k gold plating adds warmth against the blue stones and pale Pearls, creating a rich contrast between water tones and golden texture.

At approximately 6.5 cm long and 2 cm wide including the dangles, this pendant has a strong statement presence while still feeling fluid and wearable. It can be worn as a Throat Chakra necklace, Crown Chakra talisman, dreamcatcher-inspired pendant, moon ritual piece, meditation necklace, or meaningful gift for someone drawn to protection, softness, and emotional clarity.

Stone Insights:

Square-Cut Aquamarine:

Aquamarine is a blue to blue-green variety of beryl, loved for its clear oceanic tone and calm mineral presence. In square-cut form, it brings clean geometry and cool clarity to the top of the pendant, creating a steady opening point for the design.

Spiritually, Aquamarine is connected with courage, calm communication, emotional balance, and honest expression. It resonates strongly with the Throat Chakra, supporting clear speech, gentle truth, and release of fear. Its zodiac associations include Pisces and Gemini, giving the pendant a flowing, thoughtful, and expressive energy.

Oval Blue Moonstone:

Blue Moonstone is a feldspar mineral known for adularescence, the soft floating glow that appears when light moves through its layered structure. In oval cabochon form, it brings a smooth lunar centre to the pendant, softening the geometry of Aquamarine and balancing the raw texture of the Stick Pearls.

Spiritually, Blue Moonstone is connected with intuition, emotional depth, feminine energy, inner vision, and new beginnings. It is often linked with the Crown Chakra and Third Eye Chakra, supporting dream work, reflection, emotional balance, and trust in natural cycles. Its zodiac associations include Cancer, Libra, and Scorpio, giving the piece a water-linked energy shaped around feeling, renewal, and inner guidance.

Raw Stick Pearls:

Pearls are organic gemstones formed inside mollusks through layers of nacre, giving them a soft lustre and ocean-born character. These raw Stick Pearls bring natural texture and elongated movement to the pendant, adding a wild, graceful finish beneath the polished gemstones.

Spiritually, Pearls are connected with wisdom, integrity, self-love, emotional healing, and the sacred feminine. They resonate with the Heart Chakra, supporting softness, receptivity, compassion, and emotional resilience. Their zodiac associations include Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces, giving the pendant a gentle but steady water and earth feeling.

Combined Energy:

Together, Aquamarine, Blue Moonstone, and Stick Pearls create a pendant of calm expression, lunar intuition, and emotional softness. Aquamarine clears the voice, Moonstone opens inner vision, and Pearls bring wisdom, healing, and gentle resilience. The result is a flowing talisman for protection, meditation, emotional clarity, and remembering that softness can still hold strength.

Origin and Authenticity:

Made with certified 925 sterling silver and natural stones selected for colour, glow, texture, shape, and visual harmony. Stones and Pearls may show small variations, inclusions, surface details, or natural differences that make this pendant unique.

Sizing and Fit Notes:

Pendant length is approximately 6.5 cm, with a width of approximately 2 cm including the dangles. Features a classic 7 mm bail. Comes with an adjustable black cotton necklace. It can also be paired with a snake chain, silver choker, brass choker, rope chain, or custom necklace option depending on the desired look.

Care and Maintenance:

Gold-plated jewelry should be treated with care to preserve the gold layer. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wear. Store separately in a pouch or lined box to prevent scratches. Avoid water, perfume, lotions, chlorine, household cleaners, swimming, bathing, and intense physical activity while wearing the piece.

Do not use polishing cloths, chemical dips, ultrasonic cleaners, or abrasive materials on gold-plated surfaces, as they can wear down the plating. Aquamarine, Moonstone, and Pearls should also be protected from hard knocks, prolonged moisture, rough storage, and harsh chemicals. Pearls are organic and should be stored separately from harder stones.

Gift-ready packaging is included. Each order is packed securely with care. A small gift and discount code may be included with your order.

Interesting book about the flag that inspired the National Anthem
Format: Hardcover
Our Flag Was Still There: The True Story of Mary Pickersgill and the Star-Spangled Banner, written and illustrated by Jessie Hartland, was released just last month. I requested it from the library months ago... Unfortunately, it didn't make it to my hands before I published my 4th of July booklist, but I have it now, and it's wonderful! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our Flag Was Still There this tells the story of the flag that eventually our National Anthem. While I knew the story of Francis Scott Key’s inspiration, I didn’t know anything about the actual flag that he saw, nor did I realize that I’ve seen it myself. I didn't realize how big it was, how long it took to make, or that it was made largely by a group of women. And then I read this book! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But this story is about so much more than just a flag. Through her words and illustrations, Hartland gives a little information about America's independence and the War of 1812, which led to the commissioning of this extra-large flag. We meet the widow, Mary Pickersgill, and her family and indentured servant, who worked together to make this enormous symbol of our country. Hartland introduces the British attack of Fort McHenry in Baltimore. And then we see Key, who witnessed the attack from a boat and penned a poem in honor of the victory and the American flag that was still flying proudly over the city. Finally, we learn about how Key's poem eventually became our national anthem, as well as what happened to her famous flag between 1814 and present-day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yes, Our Flag Was Still There teaches a little bit of history, but it also honors hard work and women from a time in history from which we know mostly men. I appreciate the relative simplicity of the illustrations, as many historical picture books have so much going on in the illustrations that it's hard to know where to look. Like me, you may appreciate knowing the history of the flag behind the song and the realization that you've seen that flag before (in the Smithsonian Museums)!

The story of a very big flag that inspired a song and a nation
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
Major George Armistead wanted to send a big message to the British, on their way to capturing Baltimore. It was 1813 and once again America and Britain were at war. Major Armistead wanted to say to the British: This land belongs to America. He needed a flag, a big flag, a flag over forty feet across. But who could make such a huge flag? Mary Pickersgill could. With the help of the women in her shop, Mary Pickersgill did. This is the story of the enormous American flag that now hangs in the Smithsonian. It's a reminder of Major Armistead's desire for America to be free. It's a reminder of the Star-Spangled Banner, our national anthem inspired by this flag. What a wonderful tribute to this flag and the flag makers. I love the storytelling and the illustrations of Jessie Hartland.
