Why Would you need the HSP Billet Valve Covers?

The biggest thing about the factory valve covers is they are just plain looking. The Duramax is a clean-looking engine in our opinion. You are able to see a lot more of it than expected in most V8 configurations. The thing is though the factory valve covers are just plain looking, and don't really have the ability to look better even when cleaned up. So that's why HSP Diesel went to work on making something that will not Only look good but give you options and features.

What do the HSP Billet Valve Covers do Differently?

First, let's start with the material, the HSP Billet Valve Covers are made from a CNC billet machined aluminum material. This means it will always look as good as it did the day you got it with minimal work. The next thing we did was as always we offered our color options. With our large line of factory colors and the option to add custom colors, you are able to match these HSP Billet Valve Covers to the engine color scheme that you want. It is worth noting that with this kit you can order the additional breather kit. This kit will include all the necessary hardware that will route the breathers to behind the front cab mounts. This reroutes features a 1/2 Inch NPT to a -10AN aluminum 90 degree fitting to a -10AN nylon braided hose on each valve cover. This is additional to our valve covers but is recommended. You will have to select it in the drop-down to purchase it.

What Does the HSP Hot Side Intercooler Pipe Fit?

• LLY: 04.5-05 VIN Code 2
• LBZ: 06-07 VIN Code 2 or D
• LMM: 07.5-10 VIN Code 6

How do people know the VIN code?

Engine code is dictated by the 8th character of the VIN number. The 10th character is the year of the truck.

*Special Note*

It is recommended to run these valve covers with our forward-facing thermostat housing. This is because there are no provisions to mount the factory hardware to the upper valve cover.

Running Change on these parts. These valve covers no longer come with O-Ring's we recommend using Grey RTV to create a proper seal.
