Installation Guide

1. Shut off the engine, allow it to cool, and disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Close the raw water intake seacock to prevent water from entering the vessel.
3. Locate the raw water pump assembly and place a rag or container beneath it to catch spills.
4. Unscrew the bolts on the pump's cover plate and carefully remove the plate.
5. Pry out the old O-ring or gasket and discard it.
6. Using impeller pullers or two pairs of pliers, firmly grip and pull the old impeller straight out of the housing.
7. Clean the interior of the pump housing to remove any old debris or impeller fragments.
8. Lightly lubricate the inside of the housing and the new impeller with a water-based marine lubricant.
9. Insert the new impeller with a twisting motion, ensuring the blades are bent in the direction of engine rotation.
10. Install the new gasket or O-ring, ensuring it is seated correctly.
11. Re-secure the cover plate, tightening the screws in a star pattern to ensure an even seal.
12. Open the seacock, reconnect the battery, start the engine, and immediately check for any water leaks around the pump cover.
