ABOUT THE KERN RIVER RAINBOW TROUT:
- Rainbow Trout are found worldwide, but are only native in watersheds connected to the Pacific Ocean. Found as far south as Northern Mexico, throughout the Western U.S., Canada and Alaska, they are also found across the Pacific in China and Russia.
- The trout featured on your Native Series reel is a Kern River Rainbow, one of the southernmost native lineages of this incredible fish!
- The Kern River Rainbow (Oncorhynchus mykiss gilberti) is a subspecies native to California’s Kern River and only found from the headwaters in the South Sierra Nevada to Lake Isabella.
ABOUT THE EASTERN BROOK TROUT:
- Brook Trout are found worldwide, but are only native in the eastern U.S. from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean, and down the Appalachians to Georgia.
- The Brook Trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) is actually in the genus of char, making it different from most trout caught in the United States as it is actually in the salmon family of fish.
- Its name, “fontinalis” is derived from Latin for “of a spring or fountain,” which refers to the clear, cold streams and ponds that Brook Trout require to survive.
ABOUT EMBRACE A STREAM:
- Ross Reels will donate a giveback on a per reel basis to EAS that will help fund projects supporting conservation efforts focused on the Kern River Rainbow and Eastern brook trout species.
- Embrace A Stream (EAS) is a grant program administered by TU that awards funds to TU chapters and councils for coldwater fisheries conservation. Since its inception in 1975, EAS has funded more than 1,150 individual projects with more than $4.9 million in direct cash grants.
- For current updates on EAS projects, visit the EAS Facebook page and follow #embraceastream on Instagram and Facebook.
- In 2022, a total of $86,000 was awarded to 13 chapters and councils, helping restore stream habitat, improving fish passage, and protecting water quality in states from coast to coast.
ABOUT THE REELS:
- Limited Edition 4/5 Animas Reels based on the Kern River Rainbow Trout and Eastern Brook Trout.
- A portion of each reel sold will go back to Trout Unlimited's Embrace A Stream (EAS) grant program where funds will then be dispersed to TU chapter projects focused on conservation efforts benefiting these species.
- With only 495 of each of these special reels available, each one will include a number of 1 to 495 as well as "Rainbow" or "Brook" on the reel foot.
- The Rainbow Trout reel color is a unique pink based on the pink stripe on a Kern River rainbow trout.
- The Brook Trout reel color is a unique reddish-orange coloring found on an Eastern brook trout.
- Hand-painted spots on each drag knob directly relate to each species adding an additional level of unique beauty to each reel.

Great product, roomy, well made

Love this! Bought a second one. It is sturdy with a lot of protection in the hard case. I expected the case to be soft, but as I think of it, I am happy that it is hard shelled on the outside in order to protect the items inside. The case also has tons of room. I will keep my most-used jewelry packed in it and just grab this case when I travel. Prior to ordering this, I ordered another brand and I am SO happy that I returned that one. It was flimsy, cheaply made and not functional. This is great - looks expensive, well made, velvet lined, plenty of room. This is a bit on the larger side, but completely functional to put into a suitcase. It is organized well, too. My only suggestion for the makers is that the inside dividers could be secured better (they move around a bit) and if they wanted to hit it out of the park, they could actually offer additional dividers for that section (since the sections are fairly large, they could be divided further). However, all in all, this is a great travel organizer and a good value!

Holds a lot of jewelry in a compact travel case

This is a nice sturdy jewelry case that is the perfect size for travel. I took the mirror out because I didn't need it and I needed more room for jewelry. I used it on a 12 day cruise where we dressed up a lot and I was able to fit all of my dressy jewelry in it. I used the bottom underneath the earring display to put my bracelets in because it has adjustable compartments. It kept my jewelry organized and easy to find. I wish the necklace area could be longer/bigger as my necklaces were almost getting tangled into each other.
I chose the black color because I thought it wouldn't show wear and tear as much as a lighter color. The zippers were tricky occasionally. That's also why I took the mirror piece out so it would zip better. I am happy with this travel case and will use it again.

Super cute and well made. I recently got one from target for 10 bucks which was so small and Barley had room. This has a lot of room for all my earring etc. I really like this product nice and well made. The color is super cute. The inside has a very nice soft inside velvet. Get this product its super cheap and good well made.
