For patients who use the chair for sleep or nighttime rest, a glowing remote on an end table is a practical irritant. Light's Out eliminates it. The remote also includes a built-in USB charging port.
Headrest Cover IncludedUnlike most Golden lift chairs in this price range, the PR-515 includes a headrest cover as standard. For patients who use the chair heavily or who are concerned about fabric wear at the head and neck area, the included cover provides protection and is removable for washing. Arm cover flaps are available as a separate optional accessory.
Optional Heat — Two ChoicesTwo separate heat upgrades are available — choose one or neither. Heat & Vibrate adds a conventional heating element combined with vibration motors in the seat and back. Both are Cloud Twilight 5-zone chairs with the same platform — power headrest, power lumbar, Twilight Tilt, MaxiComfort, Trendelenburg, lithium-ion backup. The back style is the key difference: the PR-515 has the traditional overstuffed biscuit/bustle back; the PR-527 has a newer memory foam bucket-style back. The PR-515 has two sizes (S/M and M/L) and a wider overall width on M/L (39.5"). The PR-527 also has two sizes but a narrower 38.5" overall width and the new Ashton standard fabric for faster lead times on base orders. If the classic biscuit back is preferred or if the patient has sat in a PR-515 before, stay with the PR-515. If the memory foam bucket back sounds more comfortable, the PR-527 is worth sitting in first.
The AutoDrive hand control display dims and then fully powers off after a few minutes without being used. When the user picks up the remote again, it wakes immediately. For patients who rest or sleep in the chair, a lit remote nearby can be a sleep disruption. Light's Out eliminates this without any manual adjustment needed.
Yes — the PR-515 Medium/Large measures 39.5" at its widest point. This is wider than most chairs in this category and wider than the PR-527 M/L (38.5"). Hilarious Nonfiction!
Format: Hardcover
I'm always on the lookout for a nonfiction book that will grab the students' attention. This is it! The author does a great job of melding accurate information with a fun format. Of course, there's also the narrative tension of not knowing the superpower until the very end, so readers never stop turning the pages. Am excited to see this is a series. So much fun!

Kids will LOVE this book. I'm an adult and I LOVED this book! Try it out ... just say "stinkbird" and "superpower" to a kid and see what happens. I'm 99.9% sure that you'll be purchasing this book OR that you'll be on your way to the library. It's adorable! It's humorous! Jill Esbaum's text paired with Bob Shea's artwork make this book a true winner. Read it and revel in the fun as stinkbird's superpower is revealed.

Here's to Stinkbird!

I love a story where I learn something new. I think young readers will delight in following Baby Stinkbird as he discovers his superpower. While he has many amazing traits, like his poopy smell and falling into a river (both of which keep him safe from predators), he has one fabulous talent that no other baby birds have. So dive in and find out more about Stinkbird’s adventures.

so fun!

With a title like Stinkbird Has a Superpower, I obviously had to grab a copy and read it. To be honest, when I first saw it, I didn’t realize the stinkbird is a real bird – otherwise known as the hoatzin which lives in the Amazon rainforest. I thought it was more of a cartoon character name, but I was wrong and that new knowledge made the book all the more appealing to me.
I’m firmly in the camp that believes a children’s book should be one that both adults and kids can enjoy, and Stinkbird Has a Superpower definitely fits the bill! I chuckled at the back and forth between the father bird and his baby – the little chick was seriously adorable in both appearance and interaction. I learned a lot of interesting facts, and I loved the bright colors and vivid illustrations. And I think my nephews will be delighted to learn more about the stinkbird on the pages of this fun book, too (because what little boy wouldn’t want to learn about a stinky creature? lol). The format of the conversation between the father and chick allows similar engagement on the part of the adult/child reader pairing, and I foresee copious giggles from my nephews on a couple of pages.
Bottom Line: Colorful illustrations, intriguing science, a surprising superpower (that isn’t what you think it’s going to be) and of course a stinkbird – Stinkbird Has a Superpower by Jill Esbaum and Bob Shea has all the ingredients for a fun and educational picture book, and the result is delightful in every way! Children and adults alike will love this book, and they’ll learn a lot at the same time. A great book for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, and anyone who has littles in their lives to add to their library.
